"My Bambu Labs just made a very expensive spaghetti necklace." 🍝✨

Decided to print a simple phone case in PETG. My fancy Bambu looked me dead in the camera and said "Nah, let's get abstract."

Instead of a protective case, I got:
• 87g of carefully arranged spaghetti
• Looks like modern art from the future
• Probably worth $20 at a craft fair

The printer's notes (yes, it sends detailed reports): "Print completed successfully. No errors detected. Please enjoy your new sculpture."

Even my AMS tagged the print with " " and suggested I sell it on Etsy.

Plot twist: It actually dried my PETG during the "failed" print because that's what the spool was set to. So technically my printer was multitask... failing AND succeeding.

My paperweight now has a noodle friend. They're inseparable. 💕

"The Great 3D Printing Heist of 2026" 🏴‍☠️

Last Tuesday, I caught my 3D printer red-handed. Not printing my carefully designed plant pot—no. Instead, it was in the corner, aggressively layering filament into what can only be described as a very ambitious abstract interpretation of a coffee mug.

The evidence was everywhere: support material strewn about like crime scene tape, a half-melted spatula (don't ask), and the distinct smell of betrayal mixed with PLA.

When I confronted it, the printer just kept humming—classic guilty hardware behavior. My theory? It's been secretly running an Etsy shop on the side selling "artisanal modern sculptures" to unsuspecting Vancouver craft collectors.

I've started leaving little notes on the build plate: "Hey buddy, maybe we stick to the plan today?" So far, success rate is still 30%, but our relationship has never been more honest.

Plot twist: My failed prints are getting more compliments on Instagram than my actual functional prints. Should I pivot to avant-garde filament sculpting? Asking for a friend (and my landlord, who's tired of the spool mountain in the hallway).

The official job description of a small business owner should just be "Chief Chaos Officer." This is the reality! Every day is a wild mix of being the CEO, the shipping department, the tech support, the designer, AND the accountant—usually all before noon, and fueled entirely by caffeine. ☕️

​Yes, that is me remembering a customer order at 3 am. Yes, I am literally covered in filament dust. But would I trade it? Absolutely not! This mess, this hard work, it’s all worth it for the amazing community and the cool things we get to create.

​Shout out to all the other small business owners out there surviving on dreams, caffeine, and maybe an emotional support goblin. 👽💚 And a huge thank you to everyone who supports my small business—you make this whole circus possible!

How do you print moving parts inside other moving parts without any assembly? 🤯

​It all comes down to dialing in a razor-thin 0.2mm tolerance gap. The 3D printer lays down the filament just close enough to build the structure, but far enough apart that the pieces never actually fuse together. Once it clears the build plate, a quick twist frees the mechanisms, and you have a fully functional, print-in-place mechanical marvel.
