Feels like a good time to reintroduce myself.

I’m Kristine — the person behind Pink Lemonade Creative Media.

I’ve spent the last 17+ years helping small businesses look like they have their act together (even when they feel like they don’t). Logos, websites, social media, print — all the pieces that make a business feel like a brand.

But over time, things have grown into something a bit bigger.

These days, I’m not just designing for businesses — I’m helping shape how communities show up and get seen. Through projects like Sunrise Trail Magazine and now Central Magazine, I get to tell the stories of the places and people that make rural Nova Scotia what it is.

What hasn’t changed is how I work.

I keep things simple. I move quickly. I figure out what you’re trying to say (even if you’re not totally sure yet) and turn it into something that actually works.

Most of my clients have been with me for years, which probably says more than anything else I could write here.

If you’re new here — welcome.
If you’ve been here for a while — thanks for sticking with me.

And if you’re building something and need a hand bringing it to life, you know where to find me.

If you're in the Central region make sure to follow Central Magazine. They're going to be working hard at promoting the area to visitors and locals! Help them out by spreading the word!

When we say Central, this is what we mean.

Not just one town. Not just one main street. A whole stretch of places that each have their own story to tell.

This is the region Central Magazine is built around — and we’re excited to start sharing it.

Today is International Women’s Day, and it feels like the perfect moment to celebrate the women who are building, creating, leading, and supporting their communities every single day.

Across Nova Scotia—and especially here in our small towns—women are running businesses, organizing events, creating art, raising families, mentoring others, and quietly doing the work that keeps communities strong.

We see it all the time through the businesses, organizations, and stories we share. The creativity, resilience, and determination of women continue to shape the places we call home.

So today we celebrate the entrepreneurs, the volunteers, the artists, the leaders, and the everyday change-makers.

Your work matters. Your voice matters. And your impact is felt more than you may realize.

Happy International Women’s Day.

The sun is shining today and although there's still lots of snow it's making me feel hopeful for spring. So here's something positive for a change!

With all the recent cuts to heritage, culture, and arts funding in Nova Scotia, I’ve been thinking about the small businesses, museums, and community organizations that help make the North Shore what it is.

So I’m introducing a new smaller ad size in the next issue of both the Sunrise Trail Magazine and Central Magazine to make advertising a little more accessible this year.

These spots will be $110 + HST and are intended for small organizations and businesses that could still benefit from being in the magazine but may be feeling the squeeze.

Sunrise Trail has always been about celebrating our communities. This is just one small way I can continue to support that.

If you think this might be a good fit, feel free to reach out. There will be a limited number of spots so it's first come first served.

Central Magazine launches May 2026.

Right now, we’re finalizing editorial plans and connecting with businesses across the region. You may have met our ad rep, Paul — he’s been out visiting local businesses and sharing what we’re building.

We’re excited to bring something fresh and thoughtful to Central Nova Scotia.

If your business is looking to connect with visitors and/or locals, this magazine is designed to do just that.

Magazines are quietly making a comeback.

We’re seeing it firsthand. More travellers — especially Gen Z — are choosing to unplug on vacation. Less scrolling. Fewer notifications. More presence. And print fits naturally into that shift.

Magazines are being packed into beach bags again. Left on cottage coffee tables. Read slowly on porches. Passed between friends. Not because they’re nostalgic. Because they’re intentional.

There’s something grounding about holding a story in your hands. No pop-ups. No algorithm deciding what comes next. No battery required. Just pages. Place. And time.

In a world that moves fast, print feels like a pause. And that pause feels powerful.
