I used to think network marketing was all about chasing people or pushing a product.
That honestly hasn’t been my experience at all.
What it’s quietly done for me is nudge me toward working on myself mentally, physically, and in how I think and learn.
And the interesting part is… when you start working on yourself, it doesn’t stay contained to just one area. It has a way of spilling into everything else, how you feel, how you show up, how you handle life.
I was never a gym guy.
Never really identified as “that person.”
But when you get into these communities, you start noticing something.
People are moving their bodies.
They’re reading.
Listening.
Trying to grow.
And eventually, you start wondering… what happens if I try too?
So I did.
I tried fasting.
And surprisingly, it fit my lifestyle really well. My body responded. I felt good. I saw results.
Then life happened.
I went away to help my mom, my routine slipped, and when I came back, a good friend reached out. She was running a 14-day fitness challenge.
10K steps a day.✅
Daily bodyweight workouts.✅
Tracking calories and macros.✅
I said yes. I committed. I showed up, every single day.
Did I get the results I expected?
Not really.
And that was frustrating… at first.
But here’s what came out of it. With a bit of reflection (and yes, some help from ChatGPT), I realized something important: my body actually responds better to what I was doing before.
And that’s not a failure.
There isn’t one right way to do fitness.
Just like there isn’t one right way to build a life or a business.
People naturally share what worked for them, and that’s great, but you still have to discover what works for you.
What I really took from this challenge wasn’t a number on a scale.
It was proof.
Proof that I can stay consistent.
That I can move my body every day for 30 straight days.
That my back feels better.
My knees feel better.
I feel better.💪
And when your body feels better, everything else starts to feel a little lighter too, your energy, your focus, your patience, your outlook.
I heard someone say once,
“If you don’t move it, you’ll lose it.”
That line stuck with me.
And in a way, that’s what this whole journey has been about.
Not chasing perfection.
Not forcing outcomes.
Just being willing to try things. Pay attention. Keep what fits. Let go of what doesn’t.
And slowly, quietly, become a little better along the way.
That part doesn’t get talked about much, but it’s the part that’s mattered most to me.
