💙 “People don’t realize how fortunate we are to have the Heart Centre right here at home.”

Sixteen years ago, Lorraine received news that would change her life: she had a triple heart blockage at just 58 years old.

Her care team at the New Brunswick Heart Centre moved quickly, combining advanced technology and teamwork to perform life-saving surgery close to home.

“It was amazing, truly,” Lorraine says. “You think they’ve done everything possible for you. And just when you think the worst is behind you, you realize how lucky you were to be right here, in New Brunswick.”

Lorraine knows firsthand how far we’ve come. Years earlier, her father needed the same surgery and had to travel out of province for care. “I’ve seen both sides of it,” she says.

The NB Heart Centre now serves nearly one million people across New Brunswick and PEI - and with your help, we can ensure it continues to lead the way in surgical excellence.

Through our Let’s Work Wonders Campaign, we’re raising $10.5 million to create Atlantic Canada’s first and most advanced Cardiac Hybrid Operating Room and launch one of Canada’s first Spinal Robotics Programs.

Lorraine is thriving today, living proof of what world-class care makes possible.
