Have you noticed ads starting to appear on ChatGPT?
I recently did while using the web app, and honestly, it made me stop for a second and think about where digital advertising is headed next.
For years, businesses focused heavily on:
• Google Ads
• Facebook & Instagram Ads
• SEO
• YouTube placements
But now, people are beginning to search differently.
Instead of searching:
“best laptop for video editing”
People are asking AI:
“What’s the best laptop for editing videos and running Adobe Premiere smoothly on a budget?”
That’s a completely different type of user behavior.
AI platforms understand conversations, intent, and context in a way traditional search engines never really could.
And if attention keeps shifting toward AI assistants, advertising will naturally follow.
What’s interesting is that AI advertising feels less like an interruption and more like part of the conversation when done properly.
This could completely change:
How businesses reach customers
How people discover products
How trust is built online
And even how PPC campaigns are structured in the future
I honestly think we’re watching the early stages of a major shift in digital marketing.
The businesses and marketers who learn this space early may have a huge advantage over the next few years.
Curious to hear your thoughts;
Would you trust product recommendations inside AI conversations more than traditional ads?
