Spring isn’t just for your house. 🌱 It’s the perfect time to refresh your content and make your feed feel fresh and relevant.

Here’s what that can actually look like:

Update your visuals: Swap in brighter photos, fresh colors, or a seasonal vibe. Even changing one background or adding spring props can make a difference.

Give old posts a spring twist: Did one of your posts get a lot of engagement before? Repost it with a new caption or seasonal spin so it resonates all over again.

Plan seasonal posts: Think holidays, events, or trends happening this season. Your audience is already thinking about spring, so tap into that energy with your content.

Even small tweaks can make your feed feel alive and help your audience notice, engage, and remember you are there.

You need to post every day. ❌
Consistency is important, but that doesn't mean every single day. Twice or three times a week is more than enough for many businesses.

You need perfect photos. ❌
In a world of AI, authenticity is trending these days. Many people appreciate and value imperfect photos.

You need to be on every platform. ❌
Definitely not. You want to show up on the platform where your ideal client is more likely to hang out.

The last thing I want to see right now are posts about snow. Give me all the spring flowers, am I right?

Posting content that matches the season and the holidays can help keep your audience engaged.

Spring = fresh starts, new goals, growth, renewal
Summer = fun, adventure, bright visuals
Fall = cozy vibes, reflection, prepping for holidays
Winter = warmth, celebration, year-end reflections

When your content aligns with what people are thinking and feeling, it naturally gets more attention, shares, and engagement.

How do you know which platform is right for you?

Here’s a quick breakdown:
– Facebook: Great if your audience is 30+, looking for community, groups, or practical advice.
– Instagram: Perfect for visually-driven content (especially reels) and a slightly younger crowd (20s–40s).
– TikTok: Best for entertaining, quick, relatable, or educational content. Mostly teens to early 30s hang out there.
– LinkedIn: Professionals, B2B, and thought leadership.

You don’t have to be everywhere. Focus where your people actually are, and show up consistently. And if you want to be on multiple platforms, start on one and build on it. You don't need to be on every single platform instantly.

Look, I get it. It's tough to show your face online. I struggle with it myself.

But, people connect with people, not logos.

Showing your face online builds trust, makes your message memorable, and lets your audience see the person behind the brand.

Your story, your smile, your personality matters to the person who chooses to do business with you. The right people will find you when they feel like they know you.

I know showing up online can feel uncomfortable sometimes. Okay, let's be real - not just uncomfortable, downright awkward, am I right?

But staying the same will keep you in the same place. If you want something different for your business, your life, your confidence… you have to be willing to show up differently too.

I promise you, it get's easier to show your face, your business, your dreams, and your goals online the more you do it.

Social media can feel time-consuming, but there are a few tricks to make it go quicker.

1. Batch your content.

Spend one afternoon recording all your content. Spend another morning editing or making reels. Spend another day writing captions. Batching saves a ton of time.

2. Use a scheduling app.

my favourite scheduling app to use is Metricool, but there are plenty of them out there. Facebook has it's own built-in business suite you can use as well.

3. Don't record lengthy footage.

It's amazing what you can do with a bunch of 3-5 second clips. Combining various short clips can make incredible aesthetically pleasing content, and people have short attention spans these days so short reels can be very successful.

I used to think being self-employed meant I had to do it all myself.

Oh, the stories I could tell you, leaning over my computer, crying, as I tried desperately hard to figure out something that was completely out of my wheelhouse.

Over time I learned I didn't have to do it all on my own. There were times I hired:

A freelance writer for my blog
A Pinterest manager
A tech guy to fix the speed of my website
My own teenage daughter to write some posts for me
A website designer to update my site

Consistency on social media is important for any business presence, but it doesn't mean you have to do it all yourself. Delegate, delegate, delegate.

A beautiful Instagram feed catches attention… but authenticity keeps it.
Even when I post aesthetic shots like this, I’m thinking about storytelling, mood, and engagement. The same principles I love applying to help others grow their online presence.

Almost every business is on social media these days.

I don't know about you, but when I am researching a company, I often look up their social media so I can learn a little more about who they are.

Is growing your social presence one of your 2026 business goals but you just don't know how to fit it in to your already-full schedule? That's where a social media manager comes in.

I handle the content, posting, and strategy so you can focus on running your business without the stress of trying to do it all yourself.
