What does it mean to walk a river?

On Saturday, May 2, join us for Walking the Avon: A Jane’s Walk of River Stories, Memory, and Possibility — a guided community experience along Stratford’s Avon River.

This is not a typical walking tour. Along the way, you’ll encounter Indigenous knowledge, environmental insight, local history, poetry, and music — each offering a different way of seeing and understanding the river.

📍 From The Boathouse Stratford to Tom Patterson Island
🕑 2:00–3:30 p.m.
🎟 Free event — registration required 👉 https://www.zeffy.com/en-CA/ticketing/walking-the-avon-a-janes-walk-of-river-stories-memory-and-possibility

Spaces are limited and will fill quickly.

Come walk the Avon — not just as it is, but as it has been, and as it might yet become.
Presented by the Provocation Ideas Festival in partnership with Pathways To Poetry and The Boathouse.
