What if the next global hit doesn’t come with English lyrics?
Turns out, it doesn’t need to.
Non-English-speaking artists now make up 30% of Live Nation’s top 50 shows, up from just 8% before COVID.
That shift says something bigger about how culture travels: people don’t always need translation to connect. They need something distinctive enough to make them stop, listen, feel, and share.
For brands, that’s an interesting cue.
The goal isn’t always to make culture feel universal. Sometimes, it’s to make it so specific that the world wants in.
The global stage is getting more multilingual, more local, and a lot more interesting.
