Salads' n Dips, a long-standing product in the market from Club House Foods, aimed to expand their market share. To achieve this, we worked with the brand's marketing team to create a new packaging design that showcases different salad and dip ideas. Product photography was used to enhance overall appetite appeal and communicate product versatility. Meanwhile, flavour varieties were made easily distinguishable through strong colour coding. Finally, the brand name - boldly displayed on top of the packaging - grabs customer attention and gets noticed in the busy marketplace.

For the Sealtest brand from Natrel, we set out to create an appealing packaging design that would highlight the fresh ingredients of the product and help customers differentiate between the different butter varieties in the marketplace. To achieve this, our team introduced woodcut illustrations and prominent colour coding to showcase the product and make it stand out on the shelf.

Effective packaging design resonates with consumers and appeals to their emotions, culture, and preferences.

For Asian Bazaar, our task was to create a design that would not only get the attention of South Asian customers but invoke trial from ???. In creating the brand identity and packaging we introduced a rich color palette and the borders were designed reminiscent of the textiles from the region. This project ended up being one of our favourites since it inspired us to learn the cultural insights and values shared by members of the South Asian community.

Interesting fact: did you know an elephant - a highly respected image in the Asian culture - with its trunk facing upwards symbolizes good mood.

In order to introduce the brand to the Canadian market and have it appeal to families, we created a cheerful imagery for the Sunkist brand.

Bright and vibrant colors were used alongside a playful name to invoke a sense of fun, sunshine, and tropical flavour that invites a consumer to try the trusted Sunkist brand. While this captures attention, highlighting the "vitamin C" content goes further in making a case for a purchase based on the product’s nutritional benefits. The result? An attractive, informative package that stood out on the shelf and appealed to kids and their parents.

Looking back to one of our early projects with Campbell's Soup Company. The goal was to introduce a new range of soups for children with a design that appealed to both children and parents. Naturally, this prompted us to use teddy bears, and child-like lettering, photography to heighten appetite appeal along with on label word searches and games. The bear resonated so well with kids, and was utilized across other promotions and marketing activities.

As designers, we have to constantly ask ourselves: What message is the brand trying to send portray? How can we use design to differentiate (and better yet, elevate) one product from the next?

For Armstrong cheddar cheese, our clients goal was to communicate the premium nature of the product through design elements such as typography, colour, and a logo evolution. To make the Armstrong logo more unique, we created a maple leaf icon, and introduced rich contrasting colours to help the label stand out at retail. The end result? A sophisticated design that helped to successful introduce a premium cheddar cheese to the marketplace.
