The broadcast will take place across Canada on Wednesday October 18, at 8 pm, on CBC Radio One. IDEAS is a deep-dive into contemporary thought and intellectual history. Anchored in a powerful legacy and expansive archive spanning over five decades, its topics are boundless. Launched in 1965, IDEAS features documentaries, illustrated interviews, and panel discussions which have earned it a raft of international and national awards and distinctions. It's also home to Canada's preeminent public lecture series, the CBC Massey Lectures, which showcase a Canadian thinker "to communicate the results of original study on important subjects of contemporary interest."

Matter of Fact Media Inc is looking for a part-time (2 – 3 days per week) experienced Production Coordinator. Someone who has their wits about them and can mind the shop while the chief is away. Full details below:

Job Description:

· General office administration tasks such as handling expense reports, ordering office supplies, and
general running of a production office.
· Film festival applications, handling all funding applications, issuing production call sheets, proofing written proposals etc.
· Archiving and care of hard-drives, videos and all film materials.
· Fulfilling DVD or on-line orders
· Handling social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube) in collaboration with the producer.

Qualifications

· Previous administration experience in a production company
· Good writings skills, good social skills and phone manner.
· Skills of prioritizing tasks and trouble-shooting.
· Must be able to do basic research, write business e-mails, proofread proposals and other documents.
· Experience with social media and websites/tools like Paypal, Vimeo, Wordpress
· Experience with Microsoft Office, cloud services, FTP and other industry programs.
· Post-secondary degree preferred

Must fill position before Dec. 20
Position will begin Jan. 3, 2019.

Undercover Jihadi has been selected as a "Top Winner" at Cinema Grand Prix 2018!

Leslie Caron: The Reluctant Star has been named an Official Selection at the 13th Annual Beloit International Film Festival (BIFF).

"BIFF is a ten-day tribute to the power of film and the excitement of independent film from around the world. Local residents and visitors from across the nation fill venues, ranging in size from 40 to 400 seats for more than 100 films, and to meet scores of filmmakers who come from throughout the U.S. and as far away as Europe, Asia and Latin America."

Leslie Caron: The Reluctant Star will be screened twice at BIFF 2018: February 24, 2018 and March 3, 2018.

The Awards Gala Honouring Excellence in Non-Fiction Programming will be held March 6, 2018 in Toronto.
