Heads up, local service businesses! Haven't had your Google Business Profile suspended “yet”? It might be coming. Google appears to have started a process to crack down on service-based businesses with questionable addresses or duplicate profiles.

The good news? The re-verification process is getting a HUGE upgrade! 🎉 Google is making it way more user-friendly with in-app video verification.

Plus, if your verification is denied, Google will actually tell you WHY, giving you clear directions for your next attempt! This is the most transparent process we've seen. If you're a legitimate business, this should be a breeze!

💡 Pro Tip: Want to further solidify your location? Add plenty of photos to your GBP as proof! Think pictures of:
• Your business signage on the building.
• Your business name and suite number on directories or doors.
• Your team working on-site.
• Your branded work vehicles parked in the area.
• Any local landmarks visible from your claimed location.

The more visual proof you provide, the stronger you are building those local location signals!

So, if you get that re-verification request, don't panic! As long as you're a real business and can show it, you'll be okay. Trying to verify a fake address? You might be in for a tough time. 😉
