We are devastated to learn of the events in Manchester last night.

We stayed up and followed the Twitter feed as people searched for loved ones in the aftermath of the explosion. This one tweet in particular shows how important Social Media is when it comes to events like this.

Unfortunately we did see a few people misusing Twitter last night, to fake missing friends and diverting from the real missing people.

Overall, the police, the Holiday Inn, other hotels, and concertgoers communicated with each other through channels like Twitter and Facebook to help connect people with their missing friends and family.

RIP to the beautiful souls who lost their lives last night. It is devastating that this would happen at another concert, a safe space where people come to love, to sing, and to feel good.

Social media proved to be incredibly useful tonight.
