Was this a mistake? 🤔
I renewed my membership for a high-level mastermind this summer.
At first, I thought “of course I’ll renew, that’s a no-brainer.”
But my schedule reached an all-time high soon after.
I was SWAMPED — fielding inquiries, completing projects & fulfilling retainers.
— Not to mention trying to enjoy summer, have a personal life & tackle big life changes.
My attention was needed elsewhere.
As the months went on, and I attended fewer sessions, not utilizing this investment…
I’d wondered if I’d made a mistake.
I hardly had time to shower — let alone sit down for 90-uninterrupted-mins/week.
I wanted to give my colleagues the full time + attention they deserved to learn, grow & connect alongside them.
Yet my workload (+ life) were FULL.
So, I had to choose. And, I chose myself.
I stopped…
— trying to check *everything* off my to-do list (bc it was impossible)
— immediately reacting to emails, messages + requests, & instead stuck to my priorities.
— trying to be everything, to everyone, all the time.
Instead, I served my clients, went on holidays, said NO to opportunities, and consciously let this commitment slip for a lil while.
And guess what?
My biz didn’t burn down, my colleagues understood, & I slowly reintegrated it when *I* was ready.
(In fact, July and Aug were my business’ highest income months EVER — go figure)
The last 6 months have been FULL of twists & turns, like…
— Being let down BIG TIME by someone I trusted (& learned a hard lesson)
— Signed my first 6-figure client, and committed a lot of my time
— Took so many vacations, you might not believe I run a full-time biz
— And perhaps the biggest: Buying a van, packing up my belongings, and setting out on an adventure with my man
NOTHING in my life has been predictable for awhile.
But I can confirm that reinvesting in a community of people who love, support & motivate you…
While you and your biz continue to grow, evolve & transform…
Was this a mistake? 🤔
I renewed my membership for the 3rd year in Alex Cattoni’s high-level mastermind this summer.
At first, I thought “of course I’ll renew, that’s a no-brainer.”
But my schedule reached an all-time high soon after.
I was SWAMPED with client work — fielding new inquiries, completing projects & fulfilling retainers.
— Not to mention attempting to enjoy Canadian summer, have a personal life & tackle some big life changes.
So my attention was needed elsewhere.

Yet my workload (and life) were beyond FULL.

— immediately reacting to emails, messages, groups and requests, and instead stuck to my priorities.
— trying to be everything, to everyone, all the time.
Instead, I served my clients, went on holidays, said NO to opportunities, and consciously let this — still important — commitment slip for a lil while.
And guess what?

The last 6 months have been FULL of twists and turns, like…
— Being let down BIG TIME by someone I trusted (& learned a hard, expensive lesson)
— Signed my first 6-figure client, and committed a lot of my time
— Took so many vacations, you might not believe I run a full-time business
— And perhaps the biggest: Buying a van, packing up/storing/selling my belongings, and setting out on an adventure with my man
NOTHING in my life has been predictable for the last while.
But I can confirm that reinvesting in a community of people who love, support & motivate you…
While you and your biz continue to grow, adapt, evolve & transform…
Is never a mistake.
Not when like-minded, compassionate humans from around the world have your back, and are there for you WHENEVER you need them.
Reign has always been a home away from home, & a kick in the pants when I need it.
And to now serve the community & support my fellow colleagues as a mentor has been a privilege.
The Copy Posse team interviewed us mentors, so I invite you to learn more about our journeys.
Because there are some pretty cool stories in here. About some even cooler people.
