Had such a great time connecting with inspiring entrepreneurs yesterday at StartUp Canada!

One of the biggest highlights was The Toast “Men in Tech” panel, where men were asked the kinds of questions women in tech are often faced with. It sparked some important conversations and was genuinely eye-opening.
Grateful for spaces that challenge perspectives and bring people together.

191K followers. Viral content. Fast growth.

From the outside, everything looked right.
But as shared, behind the numbers… it wasn’t translating.

The audience she built was there for trending audios, not to buy, not to engage long term, not to actually connect with her offers.

So when she tried to shift into monetizing, everything started to slip.

Engagement dropped. Growth slowed. Followers left.

What looked like a “successful” account quietly turned into a ghost page.

So she made the call most people avoid.

She deleted it. And started again from zero.

This time with a clear message and the right audience from day one.

Because here’s the reality most people don’t talk about:

Going viral can grow your numbers, but it won’t always grow your business.

If your content isn’t attracting people who actually care about what you offer, you’re building on the wrong foundation.

Reach gets attention. Relevance drives results.

6 years of JGM Marketing…

I’m incredibly proud of this business and the clients I get to work with every day.

Helping businesses grow online has been the goal from day one, and seeing that come to life over the past 6 years means everything. We’ve grown stronger every year, and I know this one is going to be no different.

6 has always been my lucky number, and it feels like a sign that this year is going to be one of the best yet.

Thank you to my clients, especially those who have been with me since year one. I’m forever grateful for you all.

I tried to include snippets from so many of our projects together, but after 6 years… I have thousands of photos and videos to choose from. And that’s the best problem to have.
