"Your brand is so much more than just a logo" I know you've probably heard this a million times. But, I feel it's not often made clear how your brand is more than a logo. So here are some incredibly important things your brand does that your logo does not.
Tell your story - I've said it once, and I'll say it again, in order to connect with your audience, you need to do more than just sell to them; you need to tell them a story. Storytelling draws your audience in, engages them, and makes them feel something. Your logo may tell your audience what you do or hint at the vibe of your business, but it will not tell them how or why you do it or what makes you unique (your USP).
Complete sales - Your logo is meant to be an identifiable marker; think of it as the harbinger announcing your arrival to the audience. But your logo does not work to inspire, motivate, or create tension within your audience. What will complete sales is a smooth customer journey, a strong marketing strategy, and a consistent brand identity.
Build a connection - Showing off your product or service is no longer enough to get sales. Today's consumers are looking to connect with the businesses they buy from. They want to support brands they relate to, brands that have similar values as their own.
Grow your business - A strong strategic brand has the power to propel your business forward. It helps guide future decisions, outlines clear guides on how to show up for your business, and creates connections that will last a lifetime. A logo alone couldn't do all that.
If you only take one thing away from this post, remember this... A logo will never serve you in isolation, but when combined with a strategic brand, anything's possible!
