Hey all! This is an incredibly soft ask and feel scan passed.
This time last year, I made a decision to wake up early and start going hiking. I was feeling the blues come, and I know that physical fitness is an incredible way to combat that. I started with 1 day a week, then 2, then I started going every single morning. I have lost 30lbs since, and I am feeling amazing. (except I feel it in the knees, I think age is hitting me lol)
Because I am in a great place physically, I decided to do my first 10k run on Sept 21. (probably not good for the knees, but we are doing it) The event is in support of "Blenk Family Fund for Youth Mental Health"
The Blenk family is dedicated to supporting youth mental health. Their contributions provide critical care for young people and families in crisis. The Blenk Family Fund is a sustainable, impactful resource that helps address youth mental health challenges,
Mental health is a passion of mine, which is why I do what I do. I am aware of what I need to do when I feel the blues, and I was able to follow though and help myself. There are many who don't know that.
I know a lot of us worry about the mental health of the young people in our lives. It can be heartbreaking to see them struggle and not be able to help. That's why I wanted to share something close to my heart. If you’re looking for a way to make a solid difference, consider donating.
