Masonville Farmers market haul. Did you know they do this every Friday from May through till Thanksgiving in the parking lot of Masonville mall? Yummy. Fresh and local produce. Only on until 1 PM every Friday. We got a flat of strawberries there about three weeks ago that were delicious. I’m addicted to Stroopwaffles ever since we went to Amsterdam a few years ago.

The Bruce Peninsula is wildly nostalgic for me. As a child I came to this area every summer when my mom rented a cottage in Southampton. Around 16, I thought it was boring and craved an exotic adventure somewhere new. So I l’d show up begrudgingly torn between wanting to be elsewhere and also quietly enjoying a week of compulsive reading and tanning at the beach. In my 30s, when my kids were babies it was perfect. Shallow entry, clean beaches, flying kites at the beach. Now we visit as campers and my kids are completely grown young adults and i get a Cmix of reactions from them, but also I see how gorgeous the entire Peninsula is and how summer places infiltrate your memory over the course of a lifetime.
