We treat our businesses like babies. We grow them from the first day of their existence. We invest our money, experience, and personalities in the company, including its name, logo, colours, and strategy. In the very beginning, every business owner wants to share their skills with potential customers. That’s the core of the business: sharing experience with those who require it. Sharing knowledge with those who don’t need, or don’t want, to spend years learning an absolutely new path, especially if it doesn’t bring any joy to their lives.

Every business needs to be promoted in the way that is most correct for it. That’s why business owners look for the best way to advertise their ideas to people, communities, and regions. And what’s the best way to do it? It depends on the type of business, but we, as a video marketing agency, always insist on video content and will continue to do so.

You see, visual content is the best way to advertise a business because of its fast delivery method. You can show potential customers what you do, what you can help them with, and how well you can do it. We don’t want to say that branding and SEO aren’t important. What we want to say is that the more visually you can deliver your message, the faster you’ll get a response.

Just imagine that you get a flyer in your mailbox that isn’t actually relevant to you at that time. There is very little chance of getting a customer’s attention because the only things you can show are cool print design and a good deal. You do not know the time or situation in which that person will check their mailbox and get the flyer. What if there is always some important notice in the mailbox? Your printed piece of paper is very unlikely to be considered by that person.

Now imagine a situation in which your potential customer scrolls through their social media feed right after the workday. You already know the context. Now you can adjust your message and add a story to your content. Do you want them to feel better? Do you want to use that part of the day to show how you can be useful?

You can always target your message with correct targeting, but what is more valuable is that you can adjust your visual and play with your potential customer in a way that can build trust and show the exact form of advantage you can bring to the customer at the most comfortable moment of their life. It sounds obvious, but it is also something that not all small business owners understand.

You, as a business owner, should know your strong and weak sides, and you can be very precise about what to show the customer. If you’re a coffee shop owner and you think that you serve the best coffee in the community, you can show that and spread the message across the community at the time when people usually search for a place to have a cup of coffee. Or, if you’re a wellness place, you can show the method you use in your practice to make the lives of your potential customers easier and healthier. And you have dozens of ways to show it. But it is always built on multiple things around the business, and expertise is one of them.

You can show how you work, show your facility, and show the common problems you successfully solve with your existing clients. You can make special deals based on already existing successful cases. You can share your testimonials in a way that allows your new customer to find something personal in the story you’re sharing.

Another idea is sharing your personal story or the story of the experts you have on your team. You see, people love people. And that works even better when a person knows how to make another person’s life better. It can be attached to any business because the nature of running a business isn’t about money. It’s about solving problems. So, when you think about how you can reach more potential customers, you always need to think in the direction of sharing stories because storytelling is the most undervalued way to spread information about your business.

We know how to tell your story. And what is more interesting is that you also know how to share your story because you definitely have a story to tell. Whether it is a family farm or family practice, a small boutique coffee shop or apparel store, every piece of the business world has its own story. And if you’re going to run your business in the most successful way, you have to find a way to share that story with your customers.

What you do not need when running a small business is to be hooked by video and advertising agencies that are trying to sell you something fancy, something highly creative with a huge budget. When you discuss your advertising campaign and the visuals included in it, you also need to be sure that the agency or production company working with you on your next campaign understands exactly what you want to deliver and exactly what you want to bring into the lives of your customers. And you will grow extremely fast when you find that way: the way to deliver pain relief to a person who is looking for you.

Why good leads leave without contacting you

Potential clients rarely explain why they did not inquire. They simply keep looking.

Often, the problem is uncertainty. They cannot quickly understand who they are hiring, what the service includes, whether the company can deliver, or what happens after they make contact.

Before spending more on advertising, open your website as a new visitor. Give yourself one minute to find those four answers. If any of them are unclear or buried across several pages, you have found a likely reason qualified buyers are leaving.

Help buyers understand who they are hiring

For a service business, the people delivering the work are part of the product. Clients are evaluating your judgement, communication, and standards—not only your list of services.

A short founder or team video can make the business feel more familiar before the first call. Explain who you help, how you approach the work, and what clients can expect.

Place the video near the service or call to action it supports. Do not hide it on an About page that buyers may never visit.

Make the service easy to understand

A potential client should understand your service within twenty seconds.

Clearly explain who it is for, what problem it solves, what your team will do, and what the client receives. Replace vague phrases such as “custom solutions” with specific language about the process and outcome.

Test the explanation on someone outside your industry. Ask them what you sell, who should buy it, and what happens after hiring you.

If their answer is vague, your prospective clients are probably experiencing the same confusion.

Put proof beside the claim

Do not make buyers search through a separate testimonial page to verify what you say.

If you claim fast delivery, show a project with a specific timeline. If you promise measurable results, explain the starting point, the work completed, and the outcome. If your process is easier, let a client describe what became easier.

Specific proof is stronger than general praise.

Review the important claims on each service page and ask: “What would make a cautious buyer believe this?” Place that evidence directly beside the c

A service business does not always need a traditional promo video.

Most of the time, it needs video that helps a potential client understand:

who you are,
what you do,
why they should trust you,
how the process works,
and what to do next.

A beautiful video without this logic just looks expensive.

A good business video shortens the distance between doubt and inquiry.

Send us your website or Instagram and we’ll tell you what video would help first.

Over the past few months, something important changed for us.

What started as an internal experiment turned into a real product.

At YesWellDone, we’ve been exploring how AI can move beyond content and actually solve everyday problems. Supa is one of those experiments.

It started from a simple question:
what should I cook today?

Not because there’s no food — but because decision-making itself becomes friction. Especially when you’re busy, tired, or overloaded.

So we built an iOS app that looks at what you already have and suggests what you can cook right now. It also helps organize your food and builds a grocery list when something’s missing.

Today, Supa is live in open beta.

It’s still early. There are things we’re improving every day.
But it already works — and people are starting to use it in real life.

For us, this is more than just an app.
It’s a shift in how we think about building products and using AI — from ideas to actual tools people rely on.

If you’ve ever faced the same “what should I cook” problem, you can try it here:
https://apps.apple.com/app/id6756465159

We’d appreciate your feedback.
