MLA Joan Phillip （Amshen） 彤菲麗 was a grounded and compassionate soul that lived with purpose, love, compassion.
She taught me an expression that has stayed with me. “You’re stretching” she said. Stretching? “Yes…you’re pushing yourself past what you had previously thought possible. You’re stretching. It’s a beautiful thing.”
Now when I’m anxious about a new endeavour I tell myself …”I’m just stretching, It’s a beautiful thing!” My heartfelt condolences to her friends, family, constituents and community. The amount of love, care and advocacy she put into the world has surely shaped thousands and thousands of lives.
