Web Technologies ( #17) challenges competitors to demonstrate their skills in designing and developing modern websites and web applications. Participants are evaluated on their ability to create responsive, user-friendly, and visually appealing websites while applying industry standards in areas such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, content management, accessibility, and user experience. Competitors are also tested in server-side programming, including JavaScript and PHP, and must demonstrate an understanding of database design and management to develop dynamic, data-driven applications. Throughout the competition, students combine creativity with technical expertise to solve real-world problems, showcasing the knowledge and skills required for careers in web design and web development. The competition highlights the importance of innovation, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver effective digital solutions in today’s technology-driven world.

DMS Canada is sending out emails to domain holders and also letters in the mail. This is a SCAM business:

This is a known Canadian business scam pattern

Variations of this have been around for 15+ years under names like:

DMS Canada
Domain Registry of Canada
Yellow Pages Online Canada
Business Listings Canada
Canadian Trade Index
etc.

They constantly rebrand when complaints pile up.

What to do:
- Do not pay it
- Do not call them
- Shred it / delete it
- Warn your accounting staff if you have any (this is who they target)

📧 Upcoming Changes to Gmail – POP Email Fetching Ending

Google is making a change that may affect how you receive emails from other accounts in Gmail.

The “Check mail from other accounts” (POP) feature — which allowed Gmail to automatically fetch emails from third-party email accounts — will no longer be supported in Gmail on desktop.

If you currently use this feature, you still have a couple of options to keep receiving your emails:

➡️ Set up automatic email forwarding with your other email provider so new messages are sent directly to your Gmail inbox.
➡️ Add your email account to the Gmail mobile app, which supports connecting to other accounts using IMAP.
