First Growth Reclaimed, owned & operated by Garet, is a brand that is deeply rooted in sustainability, specializing in creating products made from reclaimed old growth Douglas Fir. While Garet was committed to maintaining his existing logo a previous designer made, he recognized the need for an overall elevation of his identity.

After a thorough brand audit and strategy session, we introduced a fresh new colour palette and font system. We opted for Old School Grotesk Compressed Typeface, chosen for its ability to support the bold messaging crafted by our friends at Majorette. This typeface, paired with his tagline: Old Growth, New Glory, reinforces the brand's purpose and story.

We also revamped the visual layouts, and developed a set of user-friendly brand guidelines to ensure Garet could effortlessly maintain brand consistency & cohesion across all mediums & platforms. He now has a powerful digital marketing toolbox, with everything he needs to create a strong connection with his audience.

The photography you use in your marketing is such an important element in telling your brand's story, and plays a key role in the building of your brand identity. One of our very favourite things to do, as well as one of the things that we're really good at (flips hair dramatically) is art directed brand photography. A branded photo shoot is one of the most powerful ways to expand your new or existing brand identity. It can also be a key component of a brand refresh, or as part of a targeted marketing campaign. An experienced art director plays a *very* important role in ensuring the shoot is aligned with your brand strategy, hyper-creative, and goes off without a hitch.

The Old School House Arts Centre came to us in need of a versatile, adaptable brand system to share their inspiring story, and support their constantly evolving series of classes, events, and exhibitions.

We began by developing a unique visual language that incorporated geometric shapes, typography, colours, and the application of print treatments to TOSH's own historical photography. These visuals, along with the messaging developed by our friends at Majorette, work together to create a bold aesthetic while capturing The Old School House's character and charm, juxtaposing the old and the new in a beautiful and compelling way.

From there, we built a series of templates for each program category in Adobe Express (it's just better, sorry Canva 😉) ensuring their team could easily create marketing pieces themselves, while maintaining brand consistency and professionalism. We also created print collateral like rack cards and brochures. The result is an ultra-dynamic system that will take them into the future and beyond! Click the link to see the full case study.

New work for our friends at The Old School House Arts Centre!

Over the past few months, we've collaborated closely with their team to craft a brand identity that pays homage to the past, and honours the community they so passionately serve.

With an iconic location and a changing market, they wanted their branding to be warm and inclusive; honouring their history, while embracing the future with excitement. They needed a comprehensive system that included a new visual identity, brand messaging, colours, fonts, and templates they could easily access and put into action immediately. As huge supporters of the arts, and long-time residents of QB, it was so fun to work with this inspiring organization of passionate people. Working with Rusted Rake Brewing is always a joy. We love developing long lasting relationships with our clients and providing support over time in the various ways they need it. From their brand identity, to later their website, and now to beer can labels we're here to help them look their best! Now their cast of characters can be on full display in coolers across the island. A special shoutout to Majorette for coming up with the perfect names for these beers! 🍻

New website for Nevaeh Day Spa!
Nevaeh needed a new digital home that was highly functional and easy for clients to book appointments and order the products they love. We needed to stay true to the brand’s ethereal personality while clarifying who they are, the services they offer, and where they are located. They also needed an eCommerce shop to expand their audience from local shoppers to a wider community. The messaging and brand story created by Majorette, the photography, strategic use of colour, and stylized fonts echoed the essence of Jenn’s work while establishing a vibe worthy of worship.
