OnTheDrive.ca is coming along nicely.

Added about 160 businesses to it now 👍🏽 I'm up to the Grant/Kitchener block now and moving along at a good pace.

That block feels about halfway along the street so it feels more like things are definitely coming together.

I've approached a few businesses about redesigning (or building) their sites; their current sites aren't necessarily "wrong" of "not good enough", I just feel like I could make them better.

Business owners don't have the time or the inclination to do the whole design/build/maintain thing on top of running their businesses so their sites are often "assembled" or handed off to agencies who promise the world but then just install some generic template and do the bare minimum of customisation before taking huge amounts of money for their "work".

I know I can deliver a better site for a lot f the businesses here...

Building out the OnTheDrive directory and filling it up with businesses.

Also have a plan for businesses that either have no website or have one that needs a bit of a makeover.

Adding more businesses to onthedrive.ca

Listings are free and always will be, there will be w ope for paid, enhanced listings soon and I’m crafting a business service to offer local businesses as well.

More on that when I’ve ironed out the details a bit more 👍🏽

Also working up a couple of other directories; now I know how to do it and how it works, spinning up new ones is fairly simple.

Been busy buidling out onthedrive.ca, my Commercial Drive directory.

Adding lots of businesses and refining the functionality. Working out the branding and potential monetisation plans too.

This has been fun to build and has laid the groundwork for a potential suite of Directories to come.

So, I've been working on a new site.

As a recent immigrant to Vancouver (well, Canada, really) I moved to and settled in the Commercial Drive area and really love the vibe and feel of it around here.

I went looking for businesses and the best places/things to do in the area and there were a few basic directories (some quite old and ugly) and lots if "Listicles" with the whole "13 best x on Commercial Drive" and the usual suspects like Yelp and Google Mapd but nothing really popped or was specific to here.

So I built one.

It's a work in progress but it's live and out there in the wild. Take a look and if you feel like it, let me know what you think 👍🏽

Working on a pretty big site at the moment. Filling out the content now that the looks and functionality are locked.

I'll start showing it off soon, once it's populated. Hopefully people will dig it. Hopefully it can also lead to some new design clients too. 👍🏽

So, created the 52 Week Savings Challenge site and the What Day Was It? site recently, they’re getting a little bit of traffic and it’s building steadily.

Simple sites, no bells or whistles, single purpose, clean ex*****on and results.

Working on something with the same ethos but MUCH bigger now 👍🏽
