Suzie and her doubles partner Erin Boynton won the 60+ Doubles Championship (6-4. 6-3) at the Tennis Canada Championships at Vancouver's Jericho Tennis Club.
It's been a tough year for Suzie who broke her rib a few weeks ago. I have endless admiration for her!
Thanks to all our friends who have been unwaveringly supportive this year.

That memorable day I worked with Rachel Brosnahan from The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. I was managing a campaign to raise funds for the American Association of Community Theatre and Rachel, who grew up in community theatre, was a delight to work with!

Like so many, Brosnahan attributes community theatre for making a difference in her life and her community.

Sometimes it's the little thing. I'm loving these flowers that I grew in our garden. That vase was my mother's and has been in my life for as long as I can remember.

Preparing for a colonoscopy is not fun. Because of my Chron's disease, I have colonoscopies more frequently than most people. So speaking from experience, I'm here to say - sure, it's a pain in the ass, but JUST DO IT!

Colorectal cancer is one of the few cancers that doctors can detect with the human eye because it develops from polyps that are visible during a colonoscopy.

Did you know that colon cancer is one of the most preventable cancers – because of its slow progression and visibility?

So, regular screening saves lives!

Dr. Peter Attia recommends colonoscopy screening based on individual risk factors. For average-risk individuals, he supports starting at age 45.

There doesn't seem to be a consensus on the testing schedule.

The Canadian Cancer Society recommends colonoscopy as a follow-up for positive f***l immunochemical test results (a stool sample is collected at home) or for individuals at increased risk.

Check with your doctor.

Think of it as a "rear-view checkup" for your longevity!

Thanks to my fabulous GI Dr. Jamie Newman and his top notch medical administrative assistant Sarah.
The caring nurses are  selfless, strong, and compassionate.

ICYMI - Bob Martin has a new Broadway credit - SMASH, the comedy-drama about the making of a Broadway musical based on the life of Marilyn Monroe.

Vanity Fair published a story by Michael Riedel which credits Bob Martin with solving the challenge of how to condense a sprawling weekly TV series into a two-hour stage musical.
Broadway previews begin March 11.

Produced by Robert Greenblatt, Neil Meron and Steven Spielberg, SMASH is helmed by five-time Tony winner Susan Stroman (The Producers), with a score by Emmy-, Grammy-, and Tony-winners Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman (Hairspray, Some Like It Hot), a book by Bob Martin (Tony winner, The Drowsy Chaperone) and Rick Elice (Tony nominee, Jersey Boys), and choreography by Joshua Bergasse (Emmy winner for Smash, the series).
