Some pretty fantastic derby last night.

First game started around the 14:30 mark, which was the EOD Hardcore, so a mix of newer adults and experienced skaters and NIRD, with EOD pick ups.

Second game was the semi final between the EOD house teams. It starts at the 2:20 hour mark and was a nail biter!

The Eves of Destruction will be set up tomorrow, grilling up your favourite baseball snacks from 12-3pm.

Get your hot dog (regular or veggie), bag of chips, and pop all day tomorrow during the Pride Memorial Drag Ball Game.

As we wrap up the Team Canada Junior Roller Derby West Tryouts, we want to extend a huge thank you to the volunteers and members of Nuclear Free Roller Derby for everything they did to help make this event a success.

From providing the venue and helping with setup and teardown, to jumping in wherever needed throughout the day, your support allowed our athletes and coaches to focus on what mattered most—creating a positive and welcoming tryout experience for skaters from across Western Canada.

A special thank you for the countless behind-the-scenes contributions, including the emergency skate and equipment parts that kept skaters rolling when unexpected issues arose. Those small moments of support can make a huge difference in a skater’s day.

Hosting events like this takes a community, and we are grateful for the dedication, generosity, and passion that NFRD brings to the sport.
