After setting the goals for your practice, the next step is to determine your patient profile or persona.
A patient persona is like a mini-biography. It identifies a person’s demographics, goals, motivations, and behavior patterns based on real data and market research. Knowing who the patient is helps you understand what the patient wants, and what makes them unique from other patients.
User Personas are anti-ego-centric. It’s not about you or your product or your service. It’s about them, their problems, challenges, and aspirations. Your job is merely to communicate how you will deliver value and help them achieve their goals.
Here is a list of elements that can help you define your persona: location, age, gender, interests, education level, job title, income level, relationship status, and language.
