For a long time, I questioned whether it was okay to slow down in the summer.

I wondered if I should create a business that kept growing while I stepped away.

But then I realized something...

I didn't want to build a business that required me to keep one eye on my phone all day.

I didn't want to miss these moments because I was mentally somewhere else.

I love what I do, and I work hard throughout the rest of the year.

But every summer reminds me why I built this business in the first place.

Not just to grow.
Not just to reach another milestone.

But because my goals have always included being here for these moments.

Watching my kids play together.
Taking memorable trips.
Spending time with family and friends.
Being present instead of preoccupied.

These summers are short.

The projects will still be there when the kids head back to school.

If you're a business owner who's wondering if it's okay to slow down for a season...

Maybe your business was never meant to consume your life.

Maybe it was meant to support it.
