It was time to upgrade some of our video production equipment, buuuuuuut some of our new toys arrived too late to try them out for today’s shoot with and ☹️

Who knew a gimbal couldn’t be setup for the first time in 10 minutes? 🤷🏾‍♀️😬

Luckily, we didn’t end up needing them for today, but we’re soooooo excited to whip them out for our next content shoot 🤩

Strategic Charm officially turns 10 today 🥂

We had an anniversary celebration event for the first time ever last week and it was such a nice way to commemorate such a huge milestone.

✈️ I’m currently on a flight about to take off to Paris with two of my besties, but I couldn’t let the day pass without thanking every single human who played even the smallest of roles in helping me get to 10 years 🥹 From family, to friends, to clients, to my students, to conference and workshops organizers, to my members over the years, to my amazing team members both past and present, and everyone in between…thank you 🥰

If you’re not doing this already, put a monthly marketing check-in into your calendar 📆

📝 Taking time each month to review what’s working, what’s not, and what needs a small tweak can completely shift your results.

Even if you’re a team of one, this is a useful practice to enforce consistently. You’re already wearing a million hats, but scheduling this time will actually save you time and help you make smarter decisions moving forward.

Each month, ask yourself (or your team):
💻 Which content drove the most website clicks?
📧 Which emails got the most opens and clicks?
💰 Which days or posts led to the most bookings or sales?

This is exactly what we do for our content management clients every month so we can double down on what’s working and improve what’s not.

If you’re looking for one of the fastest ways to improve engagement on your platforms, this is it 👌🏾

📱 If your Instagram engagement feels low, start with your captions. Specifically, your hooks.

A hook is the first sentence of your caption, and its job is to stop the scroll and pull people in…🪝HOOK people in, if you will 😂

👗 For example, if you run a clothing boutique in Toronto, instead of saying “new arrivals just dropped,” try something like: “Here’s what’s on sale for the next 24 hours…” That sense of urgency encourages people to engage and take action.

Another simple way to boost engagement is by adding an open-ended question at the end of your caption. Sometimes people want to interact but don’t know what to say. Make it easy for them.

Ask questions like:
❓Which colour would you choose?
❓Which style is more your vibe?
❓What do you wear most in the winter?

Hooks and questions take practice, but the more you use them, the better your engagement will get.

Be honest…when’s the last time you updated your Instagram profile? 🫣

We know it’s important to focus on content creation and engagement, but your profile matters just as much. It’s often the first place people decide whether to follow you, trust you, or take the next step.

✨Now is the perfect time to refresh your bio so it clearly communicates one main thing you want to be known for or one core offer.

🧖For example, if you’re a skincare clinic in Vancouver, don’t list all 10 services you offer. Choose one or two key services and, if possible, include the result they provide.

📱 Your profile should also be optimized for keyword search. Use words people are actively searching for when looking for your services or products.

💻Next, check your links. Whether it’s a direct link to your website or a tool like Linktree, make sure your top link is the action you want people to take.

👀Don’t forget about your highlights. Remove outdated content, add fresh stories, and update your highlight covers if needed.

And finally, update your profile photo if it no longer reflects you or your brand.

Our digital marketing agency is looking for an energetic Marketing + Content Manager to lead internal marketing for our sister brand , and support marketing campaigns for clients of different industries.

✨ Your role:
Create and schedule social media content for Hustle + Charm and clients
Design graphics and visuals (Adobe Express or Canva)
Film, edit, and post short-form video (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts)
Write newsletters and monthly SEO-friendly blogs
Coordinate giveaways, collaborations, and influencer campaigns
Manage paid social ads and track analytics
Be the day-to-day contact for clients

🤩 You’re the perfect fit if you have:
1+ years in digital marketing experience
Solid understanding of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok
Strong writing and creative skills
Ability to work independently with a take-charge attitude
Flexibility for occasional evenings or weekends

No, you don’t need more content, you need smarter content 💡

The easiest way to create enough on-brand, cohesive content is to take one idea and repurpose it across different formats. This keeps your messaging consistent without feeling repetitive or boring 🥱

For example, you can take one weekly theme and turn it into a reel, a carousel post, a static post, stories, an email and a blog post 😮

Let’s say you’re a nutritionist in Manitoba and your topic is meal prepping. One content idea could be three mistakes people make when prepping meals. That same idea can become:

1️⃣ A reel focusing on the #1 mistake
2️⃣ A carousel breaking down all three mistakes
3️⃣ A longer email or blog explaining each one in more detail
4️⃣ Stories of you actually meal prepping in your kitchen

This approach saves time, creates continuity across your platforms, and helps your audience absorb your message in different ways.

It’s time to stop sounding generic online and start sharing stories.

Yes, you should promote your products, services, and offers, but that can’t be the only thing you share. What truly separates you from your competition is you, your experiences, and the stories of the people you serve.

📱Instead of posting generic content only, mix in stories that help people understand who you are, what you do and what makes you relatable. 📖 Stories create connection, trust, and memorability.

✈️ For example, if you’re a travel agent, don’t just post your holiday deals. Share a success story about a client who took a trip you planned, or a personal travel mishap from a time you lost your luggage or packed the wrong underwear 🩲 Those real, human moments are what people relate to.

You already have more stories than you think. They’re happening every day inside your business…you just need help pulling them out and sharing them in a way that connects.
