Stakeholders, ideally, should be supporting the positive development of a company. But, as studies show, unfortunately, it’s not always the case.
Stakeholder intelligence is a type of strategic consulting services that is a key part of risk management strategies: we help clients to better understand the risks that can arise from their stakeholder environment and to take the appropriate steps to mitigate those risks.
General risks encompass areas such as reputation, regulatory compliance, and operational challenges.
We’re not the only ones to say it. The International Risk Governance Council (IRGC) in Lausanne, Switzerland, emphasizes the importance of involving stakeholders in the risk governance process to effectively identify and manage potential threats. Their guidelines suggest that stakeholder engagement is crucial in understanding the values and perceptions that could influence risk assessments and management strategies.
