EFCC Arraigns Blessing CEO In Lagos Over Alleged N36Million Fraud .

The Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, on Friday, May 15, 2026, arraigned a social media influencer and self-styled relationship therapist, Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, (also known as Blessing CEO), before Justice D.I. Dipeolu of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, over an alleged N36 million fraud. Nkiruka was arraigned on a two-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and stealing to the tune of N36,000,000.00 (Thirty-six Million Naira). At the commencement of proceedings, defence counsel, P.I. Nwafor, informed the court that the defendant had refunded part of the money to the petitioner.

“We have an application to make. The defendant approached the nominal complainant and refunded N24 million out of the N36 million. “We are asking for a short adjournment to resolve the outstanding balance. The nominal complainant agreed that if the balance is paid, they can prevail on the EFCC to drop the case,”

he said. Responding, the prosecution counsel, S.I. Suleiman, stated that the prosecution was not privy to any discussion between the defendant and the nominal complainant. The complainant here is the Federal Government of Nigeria, and we are here for the arraignment. We urge that the defendant take her plea, as that is the business of the day,” he said. In his ruling, Justice Dipeolu held that “the defence and the nominal complainant can have discussions even during the pendency of the charge. It does not affect the proceedings before the court. The defendant will take her plea.

“Even if I don’t marry this girl, I’m praying that whoever ends up with her should treat her well because she’s a wife material, not just a girl. I pray God blesses me with enough money so I can marry her.

Before I met her, I was heârtbroken. The girl I dated brôke my heart when we were about to write Ordinary Level. I was so hûrt that I couldn’t even concentrate on studying.

I thought I had already faïled, but by God’s grace I passed, while she faïled. After that, I stayed for almost a year without a girlfriend.
Then I met her, and everything started changing positively in my life.

My ex wrote GCE for four years without succeeding and later stopped school completely. But with this girl, my life began to move forward.

If you check where we started and where we are now, you’ll see that many things have improved. She was the one who encouraged us to start shooting content. At first, I refused. I even went out to shoot with other people, but nothing was working.

One day after I shot content with two girls, I came back home and she took my phone and deleted the videos. She said if I couldn’t create content with her, then I shouldn’t do it with other girls. That night, we shot a short video together and posted it.

By morning, it had over 2,000 likes.
People insûlted us badly. We deleted the video and made another one. It went viral again. More insûlts came, we deleted it again. We made a third one and it still went viral. That was when she told me, “This page is growing, let’s stop deleting the videos.”

And that was the beginning of everything.
Today, that same content has opened many doors and brought us opportunities we never imagined.
