*TIKO CHIEFDOM VIGILANTE GROUP DRILLED ON DAY-TO-DAY OPERATIONS*

Members of the Tiko Chiefdom Vigilante Group on Monday, September 21, 2026, were trained on the concept of vigilantism, including the qualities of a member, objectives, characteristics, roles, and limitations.

The training took place at the Tiko Chiefdom Palace and was facilitated by the Brigade Commander of Tiko, Steve Christopher Mezang, and the Tiko Commissioner of Police in charge of Territorial Surveillance, Epie Kingsley, in the presence of the Crown Prince of Tiko, Paul Moki Nango.

During the interactive session, the facilitators called on vigilante members to be collaborative, vigilant, courageous, and friendly to both visitors and the local population. They were also urged to remain neutral, especially during elections.

They further emphasized that vigilantism is an act of patriotism and, as a voluntary policing sector, members must remain obedient, provide grassroots intelligence, and uphold professional secrecy.

The session ended with vigilante members expressing gratitude to the Tiko Chiefdom for organizing such a timely and enriching exercise, which will go a long way in helping them carry out their duties effectively.

*LEGEND FC OF MUDEKA PUTS SMILES ON FACES OF PUPILS AND STUDENTS*

Legend Football Club of Mudeka has donated back-to-school materials to over 150 pupils and students of Mudeka village.

The donation exercise took place on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at the Chief's Palace in Mudeka, in the presence of parents, councillors, and a cross-section of the Mudeka population.

According to the President of Legend FC of Mudeka, Ngime Eyambe Joseph, the gesture was another way of giving back to the community that has supported the club.

It should be noted that Legend FC Mudeka, which emerged as runner-up during the just-ended Horizon 7 Inter-Quarter Football Tournament, is just one year old.

*TIKO COUNCIL MAYOR ALLOCATES SHEDS AT NEW TIKO COUNCIL FARM MARKET*

*Tiko – Tuesday, September 15, 2026 –* The Mayor of Tiko Council, HRH Dr. Peter Ikome Mesoso III, has demarcated and allocated sheds for the effective functioning of the Tiko Council Farm Market at the Motor Park along the Tiko-Douala Road.

The Mayor carried out the exercise alongside the Chief of Recovery, Mrs. Masah Josephine, the Head of Municipal Police, Mr. Mbaku George, the Town Planning Officer, Engr. Esunge John, the Head of Communication, Mr. Ngong Ivo Mua, chief of Hygiene and Sanitation, Mr Abah Bruno,the Head of Local Solutions, Mr. Julius Sone, and staff of the Technical Service.

The farm market, which will hold *every Thursday*, is expected to provide a structured and hygienic space for farmers and traders to sell their produce directly to consumers.

Residents of the neighbourhood have welcomed the initiative, describing the Tiko Council Farm Market as a blessing that will boost economic activities and livelihoods in the area.
