Security Take Her Out
PART 4

Strangely, Damian liked Tunde immediately.

Maybe because Tunde was intelligent.
Maybe because unlike many rich students, he was humble and serious.

Soon, Damian started inviting him everywhere. Luxury rooftop parties.

Private beach trips.
Birthday dinners at expensive restaurants.

Exclusive social events with influencers and celebrity children.

For the first time in his life, Tunde tasted luxury.
And he loved it.
Slowly, he began changing.
He stopped wearing cheap clothes.
He started borrowing designer outfits from friends.

He became obsessed with social media appearance, expensive perfumes, polished shoes, and elite company.

The more he entered that world, the more ashamed he became of Obunike village.

Ashamed of the mud house.
Ashamed of his mother’s rough hands. Ashamed of her village accent.

At first, he still called her often.
Then the calls reduced.

Soon, entire weeks passed without speaking.

Mama Zainab still sent long voice notes every morning.

“My son, have you eaten?”

“My son, don’t skip breakfast.”

“My son, pray before sleeping.”
Most times Tunde replied with only one word.

“Busy.”

Still, she never complained.

Security take her out
Part 3

The first months in Metrovia were difficult for Tunde.

Very difficult. Crystal Heights University was another world entirely.

The students dressed like celebrities.
Luxury cars filled the parking lots.

Girls walked around campus with flawless makeup, expensive braided wigs, designer handbags, and sparkling jewelry.

The boys wore luxury watches, sneakers worth more than houses in Obunike village, and expensive perfumes that lingered long after they passed.

Tunde felt invisible among them.

He owned only two pairs of trousers.

His phone screen was cracked.

Most times he avoided group outings because he could not afford expensive restaurants or nightclub bills.

Whenever students discussed vacations abroad, family businesses, or billionaire parents, Tunde quietly stayed silent.

At first, he focused only on his studies.

Then everything changed after meeting Damian Cole.

Damian was one of the most popular students in school. Tall, handsome, confident, always surrounded by wealthy friends and beautiful girls.

His father owned luxury hotels across several states, and everybody on campus respected him

Security Take her out
Part 2

At night, after returning from construction work, Mama Zainab washed quickly, prayed quietly on her mat, then sat beside her old manual sewing machine near the window of her small house.

The machine was older than Tunde himself.

Kaka-kaka-kaka.

Its sound echoed through the quiet compound every night as she repaired school uniforms, old blouses, torn trousers, and church gowns for villagers.

Sometimes she slept only three hours before waking up again for construction work.

But whenever she looked at Tunde’s university admission letter hanging carefully on the wall, her tired face softened with happiness.

Crystal Heights University. Metrovia City. One of the most expensive private universities in Nigeria.

When Tunde gained admission there, the entire village celebrated like he had already become president.

People contributed money for transport.

Women cooked food.

Even the village chairman came to congratulate Mama Zainab personally.

“You have suffered for this boy,” he told her. “One day, he will wipe your tears.”

Mama Zainab believed it with her whole heart.

Security take her out
Part 1

Obunike village in Riloma State was the kind of place where everybody knew each other’s struggles.

If one child fell sick, the whole street heard about it before evening.

If somebody bought a motorcycle, neighbors gathered outside to celebrate.

And if somebody suffered, people talked about it quietly under mango trees.

Mama Zainab was one of those people everybody knew.

Ever since her husband died twelve years earlier after a brief illness, life had become one long battle for survival.

She was left alone with her only son, Tunde, and no real source of income except hard labor.

Every morning before sunrise, Mama Zainab tied her faded wrapper tightly around her waist and walked nearly forty minutes to a construction site at the edge of the village.

Even at her age, she carried heavy blocks on her head beside young men strong enough to be her children.

Sweat soaked her clothes daily.
Dust covered her face.
Sometimes her legs shook from exhaustion. But she never stopped.

Whenever other workers asked why she suffered so much, she always smiled proudly.

“My son will become a great man one day.”

That sentence alone kept her going.

The daughters he called useless
Part 14 (Final )

Ngozi remained quiet the entire time.

Then finally, she spoke calmly.

“When we suffered together,” she said slowly, “these same daughters were good enough to starve beside you.”

Raymond could not look at her.

“But when money came, suddenly they became useless.”

The daughters became emotional hearing their mother speak after years of silence.

Ngozi continued.

“You did not only abandon me.
You abandoned your children while they still needed their father.”

Tears rolled freely down Raymond’s face now.

“I know,” he whispered painfully.

The room fell silent again.

Forgiveness was not simple.

Some wounds never disappear completely.

But Ngozi had changed through suffering.

Pain had softened her heart instead of poisoning it.

Finally, she sighed quietly.

“I will not spend the rest of my life hating you,” she said.

The daughters looked at her emotionally.

“But rebuilding trust will take time.”

Raymond nodded slowly.

“That is more than I deserve.”

Over the following months, things changed gradually.

Not perfectly.
Not magically.
But slowly.

Some daughters remained distant.

Some softened little by little.

Raymond started attending family dinners quietly.

Sometimes he sat silently listening to the daughters speak about their businesses and careers with pride shining in his eyes.

For the first time, he truly saw their value.
And deep inside, regret stayed with him every single day.

Because no amount of apology could return the years he wasted chasing the wrong things.

Do you think Ngozi should have forgiven Raymond?

Did Raymond deserve a second chance after abandoning his family?

Was Vanessa the real problem, or did Raymond destroy his own home?

Which daughter’s journey touched you the most?

Do some people only value family after losing everything?

Children are blessings, whether boys or girls.

A person who abandons loyal family because of pride or greed may later regret it deeply.

Success built with love and sacrifice lasts longer than success built on selfishness.

And sometimes, the people society looks down on today become the ones everybody admires tomorrow.
