Innovative Products| Pando Zero Cup™

Recently, Chinese brand Pando unveiled its Zero Cup™ plastic-free paper cup at the Interpack packaging exhibition in Germany.

The product features a plastic-free coating made from natural polymer materials and complies with the EU’s SUPD non-plastic definition. The cup lid is made from the same material, allowing the entire cup to be directly repulped and recycled, solving the recycling challenge caused by paper-plastic separation.

In terms of product performance, Pando’s self-developed coating technology gives the cup high barrier properties and strong stability, ensuring reliable product quality. The product also uses FSC-certified paper materials and meets EUDR compliance requirements, balancing sustainability and safety.

In addition, the cup is compatible with existing production lines, significantly reducing upgrade costs for manufacturers. It can also enter standard paper recycling streams and is home compostable, making it suitable for multiple eco-friendly recycling scenarios.

The debut of Zero Cup™ not only showcases Pando’s R&D strength and innovation capability, but also reflects a new breakthrough by Chinese packaging companies in plastic-free technology, helping drive the global packaging industry from "less plastic" to “zero plastic.”
