Is the IQOO 13 a Phone for Motorsport?
A friend of us handed over the recently released VIVO IQOO13 and we thought we see how it holds up in an motorsport environment.
DESIGN
The design is sleek and feels great in hands. The white finish with the BMW M Motorsport logo has a clean, premium look—like a driver’s team uniform. It fits pretty well in the motorsport world.
Photography
For photographer, the best shot is the one you catch, not the one you miss. This phone opens very fast, so it is easy to catch those quick moments. The Snapshot function also makes panning and action shots much easier at the track. we took some images, and they are excellent in colors and easy to change sense. Very versatile and user-friendly.
SPLITSCREEN
Thats a feature we really love. You can check race timing or images while messaging without switching between apps. The navigation bar on the side of the screen is also handy for quick switch to my most-used apps. Also it has a floating APP icon, for specific apps you like to access fast. Neat!
GAMING
Gaming, we are not much in gaming, but we play race games for research reason, to learn about the track and the best angel to shoot images. But with this phone, it’s really smooth and fast - Lots of fun. Also the added navigation for race settings we never saw on our previous phones. Racing games or just moving between apps, it feels super fast and powerful.
BATTERY
A game changer!,30 minutes fast battery recharge is perfect for a motorsport environment. So we can safe the extra weight of carrying a power bank.
DYNAMIC LIGHT
The dynamic light around the camera lenses to notify during meetings is an elegant and convenient feature. The track is noisy so it's easy to see the light, if screen facing the table. we love it.
Overall we are impressed with the phone and can recommend it for Motorsport. We will test more next time at the track.
