First hands-on test of the new ESP32-S31 development kit from Espressif.

This official setup includes:

✅ 4.3-inch RGB display
✅ 800×480 resolution
✅ Dual microphones + dual speakers
✅ Onboard Type-C debugger
✅ 16MB onboard Flash

After testing the official demos, the display rendering feels very smooth and the hardware integration is surprisingly complete.

We Built Stable Robotic Gripper Control on ESP32-P4 — No Lag, No Crashes
Can ESP32-P4 handle industrial-grade robotic gripper control?

We tested it.

Using the WT99P4C5 development board, we rebuilt the control system from the BSP level and achieved:

⚡ Instant open / close response
🎯 Precise position control
💪 Real-time force adjustment
🖥 Smooth LVGL touch UI
✅ Zero crashes during operation

The biggest challenge?

The official factory firmware repeatedly crashed due to low-level resource conflicts.

So we rebuilt everything directly on top of BSP:

✔ Minimal system framework
✔ Custom LVGL interface
✔ Direct protocol-layer communication
✔ Fully controllable architecture

The result:

A stable, production-ready control workflow for robotic grippers and embedded motion systems.

The full project is open-source and reusable.
