Coca-Cola launched “The World Will Wait” this week, a global campaign asking millennials and Gen Z to put the screen down and sit down to eat with someone.
The interesting part isn’t the warm message. It’s the strategic play: instead of fighting for one more second of attention in a saturated feed, the brand positioned itself as permission to step out of it. They even borrowed “AFK” from gaming culture to make it land.
That’s the lesson: the brands winning this decade aren’t the loudest. They’re the ones who understand what’s exhausting their audience and stand on their side.
Though there’s an uncomfortable question left: can you ask people to log off... with an influencer campaign? 👇
