When I lost my job and everything started to feel unstable, I was scared.
I won’t pretend I wasn’t.
But that season forced me to slow down.

To sit with myself.
To get honest about my life.
To reconnect with God.

And in that stillness, the same conviction kept rising up:
Children need better environments.
Families need better support.
Communities need intentional spaces.

That’s why I’m building a Holistic Learning Center in Griffin, Georgia,
Not because it’s trendy.
But because it’s necessary.

Day 6
I’m building a Holistic Learning Center for youth in Griffin, Georgia because healing changed the way I see children completely.

There was a season where I slowed my entire life down. I started studying herbal medicine. Learning how the nervous system works. Paying attention to how overstimulation shows up in the body. How trauma lives in the body. How dysregulation shows up as “behavior issues.”
And suddenly, I stopped seeing children as “difficult.”

I started seeing them as overwhelmed.
Overstimulated.
Undernourished.
Disconnected.

This school is being built to support children’s nervous systems first.
Because regulated children thrive naturally.

I traveled the world as a flight attendant.

People saw freedom.
People saw beauty.
People saw experiences.
But internally, I wasn’t rooted.

I was constantly moving but not connected to myself.

Constantly busy but not at peace.
And now, as I build a Holistic Learning Center for our youth in Griffin, Georgia, I understand why that season felt empty.

Because children don’t just need experiences.
They need grounding.
They need consistency.
They need safe environments that help them build identity.
This school is about creating the kind of environment I wish more of us had growing up.

I’m building a Holistic Learning Center in Griffin, Georgia, because I know what it feels like to lose connection to yourself.

There were seasons in my life when I was deeply aligned.
And seasons when I was just surviving.

When you’re surviving, you’re not grounded.
You’re not present.
You’re not connected to your body or your purpose.

And I see that same thing happening with so many children today.

They’re not bad.
They’re not behind.
They’re overwhelmed.
Overstimulated.
Disconnected.

This school is being built so children can grow up grounded instead of frazzled. Confident instead of confused.

I’m building a Holistic Learning Center in Griffin, Georgia, but this vision didn’t start with land or plans or blueprints.

It started back in 2008 when I traveled to the Amazon rainforest to study conservation and natural medicine.

I remember standing there, surrounded by nature, feeling grounded in a way I had never felt before. Calm. Present. Connected. Clear.

That experience taught me something I carry to this day:
Environment shapes you.
Nature regulates you.
Stillness connects you to who you really are.

That’s the same foundation I want for our children — because right now, so many of them are living in chaos, overstimulation, and disconnection.
This school is about giving them something different.
