🇨🇾🌿 A cave of legends and prehistoric secrets. For centuries, the bones inside were believed to belong to the Forty Christian Martyrs. Pilgrims visited the site until an Archbishop questioned the story and ended the tradition. The truth? The bones belonged to dwarf hippopotamuses that roamed Cyprus hundreds of thousands of years ago. The Agioi Saranta Cave. Μια σπηλιά γεμάτη θρύλους και προϊστορικά μυστικά.
Για αιώνες, τα οστά στο εσωτερικό της θεωρούνταν λείψανα των Αγίων Σαράντα Μαρτύρων. Το προσκύνημα συνεχίστηκε μέχρι που ο Αρχιεπίσκοπος αμφισβήτησε την παράδοση και το σταμάτησε.
