One of the most beautiful engine bays Ferrari has ever created.
One of my favorite features of the BBR Models replica is the fully opening rear clamshell. Just like on the real car, it reveals the masterpiece hidden underneath: Ferrari’s naturally aspirated 6.3-liter V12 combined with the HY-KERS hybrid system.
The V12 alone produces 800 hp, while the electric motor contributes another 163 hp, resulting in a combined output of 963 hp and 900 Nm of torque.
BBR has recreated this area with remarkable precision—from the exposed carbon fiber and the distinctive orange high-voltage cables to the intricate engine components. With everything opened up, the model almost feels like a museum-quality display piece.
For me, it’s another perfect example of why BBR Models continues to set the benchmark for high-end collector models.

Why build an open-top LaFerrari? Because a naturally aspirated V12 deserves to be heard.
In 2016, Ferrari unveiled the LaFerrari Aperta, giving collectors the opportunity to experience the brand’s flagship hypercar in an entirely new way. While the performance remained virtually unchanged, the driving experience became even more emotional.
With the roof removed, the sound of the naturally aspirated V12, the intake noise, and the mechanical character of the hybrid drivetrain become an even bigger part of the experience.
Ferrari reinforced the carbon-fiber chassis and carefully refined the aerodynamics, allowing the Aperta to deliver virtually the same performance as the coupé.
With only 210 examples produced, the LaFerrari Aperta has become one of the rarest and most desirable modern Ferraris ever built.

Ferrari LaFerrari
Being in Italy at the moment I thought let’s make the second convertible an Italian extravaganza:
Introduced in 2013, the LaFerrari became the successor to icons like the F40, F50 and Enzo. Instead of downsizing or turbocharging, Ferrari paired a naturally aspirated 6.3-liter V12 with the Formula 1-derived HY-KERS hybrid system.
The result was an astonishing 963 hp, 900 Nm of torque, a 0–100 km/h time of under 3 seconds, and a top speed exceeding 350 km/h (217 mph).
Production was limited to just 499 examples, with one additional car later built for charity.
A special thanks to Jochen Kieslich, who kindly provided this exceptionally rare and beautifully crafted BBR ModelsLaFerrari as a loan for my latest photography project. The craftsmanship is outstanding, with incredible attention to detail and an impressively accurate finish.

Open to What Comes Next.
A closer look reveals just how much attention was paid to the details of this model. These include chrome-plated windscreen wipers, a fully detailed interior with genuine leather upholstery, as well as chrome-plated and painted grille and trim components. Many of the characteristic features of the full-size car have been carefully reproduced in miniature.
This first Cadillac also marks the beginning of my small summer convertible series. The next convertible already has its top down and is ready to make its appearance.

A Summer Dream for Collectors.
Few cars are as instantly recognisable as the 1959 Cadillac. Its towering tailfins with integrated taillights, twin headlights and generous use of chrome reflect the fascination with aircraft and rockets that strongly influenced automotive design at the time.
The model recreates this distinctive design in impressive detail. It measures just under 30 cm in length, weighs around 1.33 kg and consists of a total of 249 metal and plastic parts. Photo-etched components, wiring and numerous screws and nuts add to its complexity. This makes it an interesting collector’s model not only visually, but also in terms of its construction – and one that has become increasingly difficult to find.

Open into Summer.
To mark the start of the summer holidays, I’d like to feature a few convertible models from my collection in the upcoming posts. First up is the 1959 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible.
The original comes from an era when American cars were becoming larger, more comfortable and increasingly extravagant. The 1959 Cadillac is widely regarded as one of the high points of this development. At more than six metres long, with a powerful V8 engine and an extensive range of comfort features, it embodied the American luxury car of its time. As a convertible, it combined all of this with the pleasure of open-top driving – and remains one of the most recognisable cars of its era.

The rear
of a BMW M5 has always been a statement. Never overly dramatic, but defined by clean proportions, wide shoulders and four exhaust tips hinting at the performance hidden beneath the bodywork.
On the new M5 Touring, this philosophy feels more extreme than ever before. The wide stance, slim taillights and angular surfaces give the G90 an almost concept-car-like presence. At the same time, it remains true to its original purpose: a high-performance machine, a long-distance cruiser and a practical family car all in one package.
That balance is what has always made the M5 Touring so fascinating. It never tried to be a pure supercar — and that’s exactly why it became one of the most respected M cars ever built.

The Touring
has been part of BMW’s identity for decades. While many manufacturers slowly moved away from performance wagons, BMW continued to refine the idea of combining everyday practicality with genuine driving dynamics.
What makes the M Touring models so special is their rarity. From the legendary E34 M5 Touring to the modern G90, these cars were never built for everyone. They were created for enthusiasts who needed space and comfort, but still refused to drive something ordinary.
The new M5 Touring reinterprets that philosophy in a completely modern way. Wider, more technical and far more aggressive than earlier generations, yet still unmistakably a true BMW Touring — balancing luxury, usability and performance like few other cars ever could.

The BMW M5
has always been more than just a fast sedan. Since the original E28 from 1984, the M5 has combined two worlds that were never supposed to fit together: executive comfort and motorsport performance. That contradiction is exactly what made the M5 such an icon.
With the new G90, BMW takes a completely different direction. Bigger, sharper and far more extroverted than its predecessors — almost futuristic in its appearance. Especially the front end with its aggressive lines and illuminated kidney grille shows just how much BMW’s design language has evolved. Yet the philosophy behind it remains the same: a car that looks composed at first glance and only reveals its true brutality on the second.

Electrified Milestone.

In my pursuit of collecting all significant Lamborghini V12 models in 1:18 scale, the Revuelto — as the direct successor to the Aventador — was an essential addition. Alongside the traditional V12, the Revuelto introduces electrification, marking a true milestone in the company’s history.

Rather than replacing the V12, Lamborghini evolved it — blending heritage with modern technology. The result is a combined output of 1015 hp and a top speed of over 350 km/h. Thanks to its plug-in hybrid system, even short all-electric driving is possible. To manage this immense power, the Revuelto features its almost fragmented design: sharply defined air channels that efficiently extract heat while enhancing aerodynamics.

It’s no surprise that Lamborghini, with this model and other smart decisions, achieved the most successful year in its history.

I’m already looking forward to more poster cars from this incredibly emotional supercar manufacturer.
