I really did not expect to have a final chance this month.
For those who have followed me for a while I have a (usually) “Work from Anywhere” series that I post here. Scrolling through my feed I see that I have not posted a single WfA in 2024!
It’s not that I haven’t been working, well, from anywhere, just I have been thinking a long time about how I want to use social media. Stop here and like this post if you like it.
I was exhausted from social media at the end of 2023. I was trying to do too much and in too many places. I have used LinkedIn since 2006. It was a great networking tool while I worked with the corporate folks. I’ve moved away from that focus and today I work with local craftspeople, startups and they are not on LinkedIn. Well, most of them are not. So, I took a break from there early this year.
I have 2 IG accounts; one in English and the other in German. The German account is still very young and less developed and I felt I needed to post to each one just in the respective language. That was just too much work. Even with all the automation tools I have access to, it was just tiring me out!
In August I decided I wanted to have fun here on IG again. So, I will be sharing the “behind the scenes” of my life here on this account. The account I will use more as my business account and post Tips & Tricks on growing your business using the Internet all in German.
Funny how just a simple decision makes me feel so much happier. I hope you continue to follow my adventures. There’s much more coming.
