As we look back on 2025, one thing stands out clearly to us at Upteko, we experienced growth built on trust.

This year, Upteko experienced remarkable growth. While we were fortunate to welcome many new clients, the biggest driver was something even more meaningful, our existing customers choosing to come back, expand their fleets, and place even greater trust in our drones and our people. That confidence means everything to us.

To all our clients, large and small, thank you. Whether you partnered with us for the first time in 2025 or have been with us for years, your belief in what we build and how we work is what allows us to keep pushing forward. Grounded
For good reason.

With recent unauthorized drone sightings over airports and military bases across Denmark, the airspace is understandably under tight control.

Authorities have called it professional, systematic, and likely part of a hybrid threat. We're talking shut-down airports, potential surveillance, and serious national security concerns.

At Upteko, we fully respect the current flight restrictions. Safety and security comes first!
While the skies are off-limits, we're still proud to show off our new European-built drone "on the ground" and patiently waiting for clearer skies. 🇪🇺

Why European-built drones matter now more than ever
In today’s tight and tense geopolitical landscape, sovereignty in technology matters. With increasing threats coming from anonymous or foreign-operated drones, Europe needs drone solutions that are secure, transparent, and built on trusted ground.

That’s why we believe it’s critical that Upteko—and other European players, lead the way in creating drone systems developed, manufactured, and supported right here in Europe.
We will reduce the dependency on foreign tech, and better align with EU regulations & defense needs, while we secure our supply chains.

Upteko is proud to have been given joint responsibility to help shape the future of drone operations in Denmark 🌱⚡

We are in the middle of a technological and green transformation – and drone technology is the key. At Upteko, we are proud that, together with Vestas, we can actively contribute to developing and demonstrating drones that can be active tools in the offshore wind industry – and thereby reduce both diesel costs and CO₂ emissions.

Denmark has a unique opportunity to take the lead internationally when it comes to drone operations, especially BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) operations. In other countries, the doors have already opened – and now it is crucial that Denmark follows suit, so we can secure our leading position within drone and robotics technology.

That is why we urgently need regulatory measures that make it possible for Danish drone companies to develop and test technology in realistic environments, so we can create sustainable jobs within service, maintenance, and inspection in offshore environments.

We can promote cheaper green power – through smarter and greener solutions.
It was a great pleasure to welcome Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities Lars Aagaard and Claus Jensen from Dansk Metal at HCA Airport. Thank you for your commitment and for clearly signaling that new technology is not something we should fear – but something we must dare to use and develop.

Our Founder Benjamin Mejnertz says, we are pleased to see the strong support from both government and industry, helping to position Danish drone Companies ready to compete on a global scale.
A big thank you also to everyone in the industry and political circles who support the Danish drone cluster. Let us continue the work – together we are paving the way for cheaper green electricity, greater safety, and new Danish export strengths.
