We have been looking forward to sharing this! 🙌

After more than a year of planning and production, we can finally introduce our new initiative: (fælles)køn – a little piece of technology that can help Danes unbias their language.

In Denmark, we take pride in our commitment to equality and inclusion, but we've fallen behind. Our recent ranking in an international report is a wake-up call: Denmark is 23rd, far behind our Nordic neighbors in the Top 5. 😲

Our labor market remains deeply gender-segregated, with Danish women earning 14% less than men for the same work. Top management positions are 86% male-dominated, and boardrooms have a staggering 9-to-1 ratio of men to women chairpersons. Furthermore, half of Denmark's youth grapple with gender-stereotypical expectations.

As an agency within an industry that shapes people's lives through communication and technology, we must also turn the mirror on ourselves and explore how we can contribute to making changes. And one aspect we found pivotal to address is our Danish language, which has been ranked as the most gender-biased in the world! 🗣️⚤

A gender-neutral language doesn't have to be uninspiring or restrictive. Our language is dynamic and continuously evolving. Therefore, if we desire change, we have the power to shape it while breaking free from stereotypes and gender-biased expectations.

The holidays are just around the corner, and although it will be great to escape from our daily routines, there's something we quickly start to miss: Good Danish rye bread.

In Schulstad's new summer campaign, we remind the Danes that even during a well-deserved vacation, one can still long for the taste of home.

The campaign is launched across various media channels - TV, social media, OOH, and notably in the Danish airports, where we welcome our fellow Danes back home from their vacations. ☀️✈️

Thanks to Folkemødet for yet another inspiring and agenda-setting event in the beautiful settings of Bornholm. ☀️

At Advice, we have had the pleasure of co-hosting a wide range of events with our clients and partners which sparked meaningful debates, new reflections, and fresh perspectives! We are already looking forward to doing it again next year! A big thank you to everyone involved!

Our agendas team at Advice also deserves special thanks! Everyone from student assistants to directors has worked tirelessly to develop and organize this year's program and events, making this year's Folkemøde truly remarkable. 👏

As Danes, we often take pride in leading the way toward equality and inclusion! 💪🏼

…However, in 2020, Danish was ranked as the most gender-biased language in the world. Denmark has one of the most gender-segregated job markets in the world. Danish women earn 14% less than men for performing the same work. Additionally, 50% of Danish youths find it challenging to challenge and overcome gender-stereotypical expectations.

Thursday at 14.45 at Folkemødet, DI - Dansk Industri will host an open debate on gender diversity and where our insightful director and partner, Rikke Kristine Østergaard, will partake in the important discussion alongside Anne Sophia Hermansen, Helle Thorning-Schmidt, Poul Madsen, Thomas Thorsøe, Sofia Lisa Dinesen and Klaus Holse.

Alongside her commitment and partnership in Advice, Rikke Østergaard co-hosts the podcast ‘Karriererkvinder’ (‘Career Women’), and last year she published the book ‘Den Utålmodige Feminist’ (‘The Impatient Feminist’) with Naja Lind Rasmussen.

🩸THURSDAY 12.00 - 15.00: Visit our test-tent and get your cholesterol level tested when Amgen and Novartis Danmark draw attention to the 30.000 Danes who have inherited high cholesterol levels.

💬 FRIDAY 13.00: Listen in on a fireside chat about the future of cancer policy and the upcoming fifth cancer package with Jesper Fisker, Søren Gade, and Anders Kühnau. The chat is hosted by Bristol Myers Squibb, Janssen Danmark, MSD Danmark, Novartis Danmark, and Roche Danmark.

🍝 FRIDAY 15.00: Join us in the kitchen when celebrity chef Jesper Vollmer and Minister for the Interior and Health Sophie Løhde get cooking while discussing how we can help Danes that are born with a much higher risk of stroke and heart attack.

Looking for more passionate debates at Folkemødet? Our director in Branding & Marketing, Rikke Kristine Østergaard, who is also hosting the podcast 'Karrierekvinder,' will partake in a discussion on gender diversity hosted by DI - Dansk Industri. Alongside former prime minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt and many others, they will discuss how to increase gender diversity and the challenges we encounter on the path to greater inclusion. Last week our dynamic creative duo, Simon Bigaard and Joachim Anton Klintfält, were recognized for their creative talent and work, winning a Young Creative Circle Award (YCCA) for their campaign Exotic Fireplace! What an outstanding achievement that showcases the talent and drive of the upcoming generation.

Furthermore, we are thrilled to announce that Simon will be participating at this year's Young Lions Competitions at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. 🏆

The discontent among children and young people is more significant than ever before, and 'Julemærkehjemmene' are taking action. 💙

At Advice, we have collaborated closely with 'Julemærkehjemmene' for the past five years, and we are incredibly proud to have contributed to their new campaign about the girl, Mathilde, who is getting a fresh start in life.

Every year 'Julemærkehjemmene' offers over 1,000 vulnerable children a stay in their five homes across Denmark. Through guidance and activities, the children will regain confidence and find a strong sense of self-worth. Many children of 'Julemærkehjemmene' look back on their stay as a crucial period in their lives that gave them meaningful friendships and tools to overcome life's many challenges.
