I’ve received many questions lately about what’s happening with CM Digital and why I’ve suddenly gone quiet around here.

That’s because, behindt the scenes, there have been MANY things going on - all good.

I am currently going through a career transition, so my energy is focused on an awesome temporary job, career coaching sessions, and a few personal projects.

CM Digital is mostly on hold for now, but you’re always welcome to reach out if you need help or if you’re up for a coffee. ☕️

Looking at what happens this month out in the world, September feels like a reminder to slow down.😌

Life can be like a rollercoaster sometimes, especially if you also have a business to maintain.

So make time for yourself and the dear ones, find 10 minutes daily to read a few pages from that book that brings you joy, be kind and grateful, declutter, and walk/bike more instead of taking the car.

Remember, they say that there isn't bad weather in the Nordic countries, but just bad clothing (Der findes ikke dårligt vejr – kun forkert påklædning). 😅

I've been living for nine years in Denmark, and I'm still not 100% sure I agree with this. 😁 What about you?

Last Friday, I had the pleasure of participating in a cozy, multicultural networking event focusing on the internationals' journeys as entrepreneurs/freelancers in Denmark.

It was lovely to meet and resonate with other people following in one way or another the same path as I do.

At the same time, I enjoyed hearing the inspiring stories of the day's speakers, Kate Dahl from Career Denmark and Alfred Mwabala Naumann, the owner of Freddy's Cafe and ZamNordic from whom I've learned and been reminded that

👍 it's normal to be on an emotional rollercoaster from time to time
👍 it helps, and it's essential to have a sparring partner in your business to help you navigate the moments when you struggle but also to celebrate the small successes along the way
👍 networking it's still one of the most important aspects to build (business) relationships; the same goes for LinkedIn
👍 perseverance it's vital in everything we do
👍 same goes for knowing WHY we do WHAT we do

Here are five content ideas to post on social media during the summer holiday. 🌞

✔ Wish your followers a good summer: Share a post expressing gratitude for your followers' support and inform them of the dates you'll be away.

✔ Throwback posts: Repost or reshare your most popular posts, products, or customer testimonials to keep your audience engaged.

✔ Share a few facts about you: Let your past and recent followers get to know better so they know who is behind that service or product.

✔ Do a summer contest: Engage with your followers through a contest where they can win one of your products or services.

✔ Previews and teasers: Give your audience a sneak peek of what's coming up after your vacation. Tease new products, services, or exciting announcements that will be revealed when you return.

July is known in Denmark as the month when most businesses take a break for the summer holiday. ⛱🇩🇰

So will anyone still see your posts if they're having time off?

🤓 While taking a break from social media from time to time is highly recommended, making a minimum effort to show up constantly on social media when other businesses don't can make your business stand out from the crowd (if you post daily, reduce the frequency to 2-3 times per week).

Don't worry, though.

You don't need to stress about what and when to post during your holiday.

✔️Adapt your content ideas.

Are you selling, for example, clothing items? Instead of sharing a generic photo of them writing that they come with a 20% discount in July, highlight the offer through a post showing how to wear the same piece in a couple of different outfits while traveling to save luggage space.

✔️ Reuse evergreen content that performed well and may be relevant. Whether that it's a quote, a testimonial, or tips and tricks (taking into consideration the example with clothing items from above, you could share again, for example, how to remove wine stains from a shirt).

✔️ Plan your content in advance right from Business Meta Suite.

👀 Fun fact: The first logo I've ever created can be seen in over 30 shop windows in Vejle.

I volunteered for one year and a half for an Erasmus Plus project called Crethink: Co-creation for Sustainable Cities.

From there resulted Vejles Grønne Valg - a network community meant to inspire, guide and bring together the citizens and shops interested in a more sustainable everyday lifestyle. 💚

Before doing social media management for it, I developed Vejles Grønne Valgs branding identity, whose logo and PR materials (posters, brochures, stickers, postcards, and mats) can be seen today in over 30 shops in Vejle - and still counting. 🙌

💭 "We know that social media it's important, but there are so many other things to do that it always comes last on the to-do list."

I lost count of how many times I've heard this during the past couple of years.

I've heard it not only from entrepreneurs who are busy building a business wearing multiple hats: concept developers, managers, administrators, sellers, designers, etc., all while taking care of their families and having a second job.

I've heard it even from companies with everything that they need to succeed: teams of specialists, resources, and budgets.

That made me wonder...Why does an entrepreneur or company find it challenging to show up constantly on social media?

💭 Is it the time?

Maybe you don't need more time for this. Perhaps you need better time management.

💭 Does it take too long to figure out a social media strategy aligned with your business goals or to create content?
