Iran has reportedly rejected a U.S.-backed de-escalation proposal, dealing a major blow to efforts aimed at reducing tensions. According to Reuters and The Guardian, the plan was delivered through indirect channels but failed to meet Tehran’s core demands.
Iranian officials signaled that any agreement must go beyond short-term measures, focusing on sovereignty and long-term security concerns. Meanwhile, the U.S. continues to push for diplomatic solutions — but with ongoing strikes and rising tensions, progress appears uncertain.
Analysts say communication between both sides is still happening behind the scenes, but trust remains low.
With military activity continuing and no clear breakthrough in sight, fears of escalation are growing.
👉 The key question now: Is diplomacy still possible… or is the window closing fast?

🚨 “KHARG ISLAND — THE NEXT FLASHPOINT?”
📌 Read more: https://dx.laptrinhhocsinh.com/u-s-reportedly-weighs-seizing-kharg-island-as-strategic-oil-hub-becomes-central-to-iran-conflict/
Reports suggest the U.S. is considering a bold move: targeting or even seizing Kharg Island — Iran’s most vital oil export hub. Analysts say this island handles a major share of Iran’s النفط flow, making it a critical pressure point in the escalating conflict.
Recent airstrikes have reportedly already hit parts of the island, raising questions about what comes next. If Kharg were disrupted or taken, it could severely impact Iran’s economy — but also risk triggering a much wider war.
At the center of it all is the Strait of Hormuz, a global energy lifeline now under increasing tension. Any instability here could send shockwaves through oil markets worldwide.
Iran has warned it would respond strongly to any direct threat.
👉 The big question: Is this a strategic move… or the start of a dangerous new phase?

US President Donald Trump stated there have been “very strong talks” with Iran, suggesting a possible “complete and total resolution of hostilities in the Middle East.” Iran quickly rejected the claim, emphasizing that no formal negotiations have started and only minimal, preliminary communication exists.
Limited contacts continue between Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and US envoy Steve Witkoff, but Tehran remains deeply suspicious, viewing them as potential strategic misdirection. Iranian officials believe Washington’s public statements aim to stabilize energy markets and gain time for military planning.
Trump hinted that a powerful Iranian figure, possibly Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, could help bridge internal divisions, though no concrete progress is visible.
Iran faces serious security risks after high-profile assassinations, making high-level diplomacy a risky gamble for political survival.
Diplomatic activity remains indirect, with mediators including Pakistan, Egypt, Turkey, and Oman working to ease tensions and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
Both sides hold firm demands, and the situation stays highly uncertain with risks of escalation.

Washington, March 26, 2026 – U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that American forces have struck more than 10,000 military targets inside Iran since launching Operation Epic Fury on February 28 under President Donald Trump’s direction.
In a video update, CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper reported that U.S. forces maintain complete air superiority over Iran and continue precision strikes. Key achievements include destroying 92% of Iran’s largest naval vessels, reducing missile and drone launch rates by over 90%, and damaging or destroying more than two-thirds of Iran’s missile, drone, and naval production facilities along with associated shipyards.
The operation has involved over 10,000 combat flights, featuring long-range B-52 bomber strikes and coordinated air, naval, and precision-guided munitions. Strikes have also targeted hardened underground facilities storing anti-ship missiles threatening the Strait of Hormuz.
Admiral Cooper stated that Iran’s overall combat capability is in steady decline. The campaign aims to neutralize Iran’s ability to threaten regional stability and freedom of navigation, with U.S. military strength in the region continuing to grow.
