I was lied to at school…

Certain things in life are a lot more complicated than you might think.
When I say “complicated”, I think it’s more accurate to say, "difficult to predict".

As an entrepreneur trying to grow your business,
You can’t leave certain things to good luck, (you definitely shouldn’t).

If you strive for success, you need to master the skill of understanding your customer purchasing journey.

I’m talking about KNOWING the exact steps your customer takes before BUYING YOUR PRODUCT.

Your unique sales funnel.

Track everything. Collect data, and analyze it so damn well, that over time you can predict your customer sales funnel almost perfectly.

But, here's the thing...

What if I told you that Kasim Aslam, founder, and CEO of Solutions 8, shared straight from Google Insights that consumers have about 500 touchpoints before making a purchase?

That wasn’t a typo,

500 touch points.

Now, I don’t want to overwhelm you with this data,

In fact, Kasim Aslam explains the concept of attribution very smoothly.

He points out that is key that you understand the strengths and weaknesses of your sales funnel touchpoints to be able to invest your resources smartly.

Compared to the 8 to 10 touch points learned at Uni…

That's relevant information I guess you wanted to know ;)

There’s a question that’s been around in my mind for a while now.

Is it really possible to be present on every social media platform while running a business??

Because, here’s the thing.

The list of social platforms doesn’t stop from growing and,
The saturation is REAL.

What are your options to keep up with everything??

Here are some strategies you can follow:

Outsource and focus on running your business
Repurpose content - create a big piece of content and repurpose it with different formats (audio, video, written, long and short forms)
Binge content - although Ryan Deiss claims it creates commitment issues. And I get it because you have to be “SOCIAL” on social platforms. But, as I understand, it’s still a valid strategy if you make sure you find the time to engage with the leads who interact with your content, do you agree ?

Are you using any of these strategies?? Which other strategies should we consider?

Love to read your thoughts in the comments.

Best clients always have 1 thing in common.

Regardless of your expertise or niche.

And, ofc there is more than that.

But, if you ask me,

Excellent clients have already tried. People who have put time and effort into doing something before knowing they need to hire an expert.

For copywriters, it is 100% true. I always know who has tried to do copy without really knowing what they were doing, and then, after hearing crickets for some time, they come to understand that there are people specifically trained to write copy. Experts who know how to use words to convert your audience into customers.
Those clients are ready to appreciate your work and understand your value.

You’ll save some time if you put that into your client acquisition equation.

That’s regarding your customer level of awareness: you can’t offer a solution to prospects who don’t know they need a solution yet. For those, you have to take a longer-term approach and educate before offering your solution.

Now, it's your turn. What other characteristics define your best customers?

Don’t be discouraged by people succeeding, instead feel the opportunity.

I don’t know who needs to read this today, but here it goes:

Focus your content about your reader, or
about your prospect, or
about your consumer.

Stop babbling about you or your company and start speaking to your consumers needs.

There are things that never go wrong.

It’s consistency really important?

I know how frustrating it is when after some time of showing up consistently you are not attracting any good quality leads,

I’ve been there too.

I know all the effort behind each post.

You find the time to brainstorm ideas, write posts, record shorts, plan and strategize your content, and all,

hoping it will be better eventually.

Leads don’t come in, and yet the sparkle drive, and motivation you started your journey with begins to vanish,...

And, you find asking yourself:

Do I really need to show up consistently?

Considering all the effort there’s behind every post,
Is it really worth continuing with it?

Here’s my honest opinion, after some time, readers become used to your posts. They expect to see you in their feed to read your words or watch your videos. Some will engage with you, some will remain silent after consuming your content and that's ok.
I mean, I’m sure you can relate to this situation: Imagine yourself spending some spare time on social media. Some people always come on top of your mind when it comes to specific platforms. The day they are not there you wonder what happened. And the same applies to newsletters.

When you get used to consuming special content you feel somehow disappointed when you don’t get it.

And even though sometimes it feels discouraging or lonely,

You are building your brand ecosystem.

But, building your online presence doesn’t have to be tedious, you can always hire someone to help you with planning, strategizing, editing, or writing your posts.

Plan a consistent strategy that you know you can cope with and stick to it,

Keep showing up.

People will come after you when they are ready.

To every entrepreneur writing their own copy.
Let me give you a generous tip to include in your future writing:

You have to make sure your text answers this question:
How will I feel after buying your product?

To be more accurate, you should also answer:

What will others think of me after buying this product?

If you fail to answer these questions your consumers won’t be able to imagine themselves after making the investment.

So, you want your reader to know how they will FEEL, and how they will be SEEN by others.
Understand that buying is not only for the inner self but also for the social self.

I start this week with post number 100 on my branding and copywriting IG account.

That’s faster said than done, believe me 💫

I’ve had MANY ups and downs 🙄

I couldn’t help but have a bittersweet feeling when welcoming a new project...

I was always thinking about how to keep up with all the different things I was working on.❌

And I had to quickly understand what my priorities and boundaries are.

When new projects arrive, I have to evaluate and if necessary, let something go.✅

Understanding that has been crucial for me.

Stress has no room in my feelings right now. I know what I can cope with and stick to that.

✨✨✨ A clear goal is like a guiding star ⭐️

I know my goal is to give voice and serve genuine people with genuine projects and I build my priorities around my goal 💫

The same situation can look different depending on the goal.

For you that might mean hiring someone to help you achieve your goals faster.

The key is to understand the reason WHY you are doing what you are doing, and that will give you the motivation to keep it up.

Cheers,

Have you ever played the ad guessing game?

It’s quite simple,

You have to guess the ad brand before it's announced explicitly.

It’s so fun to see the connections we establish based on our previous experience with that brand.

Actually, you can twist the game and use it to your advantage.

What are the elements that make you, YOU?

Let me give you a hint here,

The words you chose matter.

They are the number one tool to
✨ communicate with your audience,
✨ establish your online presence
✨ engage with your clients.

Choosing specific words that resonate with you and your brand affect directly how you are perceived by your audience.💫

Have you ever noticed how some brands don’t sound the same when appearing on different platforms..? 🤯🤯🤯

That’s why I always create a brand voice guide before working with a client, it is a simple document where I put all the words, sentences and even emojis that represent that brand truthfully. So, they can have a COHESIVE messaging around the different platforms, regardless of who is writing behind the brand.

Cool, right?😉

So, you finally have your email list.
YEEEY, I’m clapping for you! 🙌🙌

BUT,
You must be wondering,🙋‍

👉 How often should you send your newsletter?

First and foremost, remember
* Gold rule num.1 *
There must always be a reason WHY you are sending an email.
Never land an inbox without a reason.

Having said that,
I suggest a WEEKLY cadence unless you are in “launch mode”. It is the perfect balance of presence that gives the most engagement.

The truth is that...

I'm guilty to be subscribed to thousands of email lists 😳, and I continue to check in with every one of them because I know I get the value I was promised in the first place. (Set clear expectations for your readers... hidden golden rule here 😉)

If you want to get inspired by some of my FAV email lists, here you've got some examples:

Daily cadence: Josh Spector, sends short daily emails with a paragraph or two and gets a lot of engagement. He combines it with a Sunday longer format email. Definitely a great example of building a relationship with its audience.

Weekly cadence: sends an email every Wednesday with a sneak peak of her upcoming plans, behind the scene, storytelling, and, in the end, she narrows it down to her new YouTube video released the same day. Her email is a perfect addition to her public content shared on social media.

A cadence longer than that can lead to a lower engagement rate.

For example, hasn’t got any specific cadence. She will land in your at least once per month with an announcement or new offer for her audience. That can lead to confusing the audience as they don't know what to expect.

Now,

Why would you care about building an email list,...?

Let me tell you a little secret, my dear friend,
If you are thinking about launching a course or program,
You have to focus your efforts on building a strong and engaged email list.
Without any doubt, THIS SHOULD BE YOUR FIRST STEP.

If you are still focusing on prices…
I’m sorry to tell you,
❌You are on the wrong path.

✅Build your offer based on VALUE

Start asking yourself these questions:
💫 What’s the transformation you are offering to achieve?
💫 How does the life of your customer change after purchasing your product?
💫 What are the main benefits?

If you want your customers to understand why they should buy your product rather than another “similar” product,

Show them:
THE
FINAL
DESTINATION
🔥🔥🔥

Show your customers how their lives will look AFTER consuming your product.

🔥🔥🔥

How will they FEEL? ✨✨✨

Use EMOTIONAL words.

Be as much specific as you can.

Answer the questions truthfully.
⭐️ Then, I can help you build an honest offer ready to attract your dream audience, ready to pay your value, deal?
