Today marks the last day with our two incredible Badger interns from University of Wisconsin-Madison, Cy Gleason and Brigit Wu. It’s been a truly productive and enriching summer here at the Xross Connect office in Sevilla.

Cy and Brigit jumped right into our projects and brought energy, creativity, and commitment to everything they touched. From day one, they’ve been an integral part of the team, and their contributions made a real impact. We’re sad to see them go, but incredibly proud of the growth, professionalism, and curiosity they demonstrated throughout their internship.

Not only did they learn from us, we learned from them, too. Their fresh perspectives, questions, and ideas enriched our work and reminded us why we value mentorship and collaboration so deeply.

A special thank you to the UW–Madison Intern Abroad Program and Kimberly Harn for your ongoing partnership. We love welcoming passionate young professionals like Cy and Brigit, and we can’t wait to see where their paths lead next.

We are excited to welcome one of our summer interns, Cy Gleason, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Cy is pursuing a degree in with a certificate in .

When he is not contributing to legendary marketing campaigns, Cy enjoys strolling around Madison with his headphones in, playing the guitar, and going for lake swims. He works at a Mexican bar in downtown Madison and considers himself "slightly above average" at mixing tasty margaritas. Cy is part of ALT, a student Newspaper aiming to amplify the voices of the underrepresented student populations on campus. He creates graphic designs for ALT, and the thing he enjoys most about it is using his design skills in a collaborative environment with a genuine purpose. Cy has a passion for embarking on new experiences and for meeting new people.

On his first day in the office, the team went to a local restaurant and Cy had the opportunity to try snails for the first time. It was going well before he saw the tentacles. Talk about new experiences!

His personal goal for his time in Seville is to learn as much as he can about the history and culture of the wonderful city and its people. Walking through the vibrant streets on his way into the office, Cy enjoys stopping at a coffee shop near his apartment to enjoy a cafè Americano (the only coffee he knows how to order in Spanish).

Cy is currently working on developing social media posts and researching B2B marketing strategies for the company CeeBlue. Throughout his time here he wants to gain insights into brand strategy and international marketing techniques, develop meaningful relationships with his peers and mentors, and enhance his Spanish skills. He and his fellow Badger intern Brigit have been enjoying daily Spanish tips from Krystle Linares.

We’re excited to welcome Brigit Wu to the team as our Marketing Intern this summer! Brigit is a rising junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, majoring in Marketing with a certificate in History.

Brigit grew up in Shanghai, China and is now studying in the United States and working in Seville, Spain. She says that moving between different places has helped her see things in new ways and given her lots of ideas and energy for both work and life.

She first became interested in marketing as a kid, watching her mom shop and wondering why people choose one product over another. That early curiosity turned into a passion. Brigit loves how marketing combines creativity and data, and she enjoys working under pressure and staying positive.

Outside of work, Brigit enjoys surfing, trying new foods, and has a serious sweet tooth - she used to love strawberry cheesecake ice cream, but now her favorite is tarta de la abuela!

In her words: “The team here in Seville has been incredibly passionate and supportive. I can’t wait to grow, contribute, and share more thoughts after this summer."

We are excited that our two University of Wisconsin-Madison summer interns have arrived! Brigit Wu and Cy Gleason joined us last week in our Seville office and will be working and living here in Seville through July. The team wasted no time introducing the prospective marketing professionals to Spanish culture and cuisine. Team lunches have provided unforgettable memories for the visiting students. This week they tried snails for the first time and it was going well before they noticed the eyestalks.

During their time here, Brigit and Cy will be assisting our team with providing digital marketing and sales services to Ceeblue. Some of their projects already underway include market research, social media analytics, and SEO optimization. In addition to these projects, the interns have created social media posts and developed strategies to optimize social media traffic.

Cy is studying information science and digital media analytics in the School of Letters and Sciences at Madison. He is looking forward to gaining experience working with the analytical aspect of marketing. He hopes to use his unique skillset to contribute to innovative and effective marketing strategies and campaigns.

Brigit is studying marketing at Madison’s prestigious School of Business. She is excited to use her passion for marketing to assist in Xross Connect’s mission to connect our clients to markets across the globe by providing diligent business and consulting services.

After an 8-week internship, today marks Sydney Fessenden and Thamyres Costa's last day at Xross Connect. We are so thankful for all their hard work and dedication this summer. We are excited to welcome one of our summer interns, Thamyres Costa, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is pursuing a degree in Journalism-Strategic Communication and International Studies-Policy and Politics in the Global Economy with a certificate in Digital Studies.

Thamyres is originally from Florianopolis, Brazil. On campus, she is the Director of Public Relations and Marketing at BRASA, a Brazilian students’ association at UW-Madison. Her leadership role within BRASA shows her ability to engage with diverse audiences and create a sense of community among Brazilian students. Beyond the academic world, Thamyres enjoys reading, and her curiosity goes beyond the books; she's an avid podcast listener, and her favorite is a Brazilian one named "Modus Operandi."

Additionally, this is Thamyres' first time in Spain and Europe. As someone who loves new experiences, Thamyres wants to delve into Spanish cuisine, art and history, deepening her knowledge of the country's traditions and customs. Beyond sightseeing, Thamyres is also excited about making connections with people from different backgrounds. She noticed how welcoming people in Sevilla are and appreciates their willingness to help with any questions.

Thamyres is currently working on a market research project and developing digital marketing. With a passion for storytelling and an eye for detail, Thamyres is eager to apply her knowledge and creative skills in an international setting. She hopes to gain insights into what shapes global communication strategies and narratives, and she wants to use this experience to achieve her career goals in content marketing and strategic communication.

We are excited to welcome one of our summer interns, Sydney Fessenden, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is pursuing a degree in with certificates in and .

In her free time, Sydney enjoys playing musical instruments, singing, and being outdoors. She works at a golf simulator bar in the heart of Madison, where she also loves to go to the Farmer’s Market every Saturday. In the UW-Madison School of Business, she is a part of an International Business fraternity. She has held many positions within this organization, and the thing she enjoys the most about it is being able to meet all different kinds of people. Having moved all around the United States, she has a passion for learning about cultures and traveling.

Sydney seeks opportunities to go outside of her comfort zone, and is enjoying trying new things in Seville, Spain. Her personal goal is to be highly conversational in Spanish by the end of her internship. Before coming to the office, she enjoys sitting with a cafe con leche (coffee with milk) to start her day. She has a roommate from a small city in Spain (Jaen), who teaches her about the Spanish way of life.

Sydney is currently working on developing our website SEO and digital marketing. Throughout her time here she wants to gain insights into international marketing strategies, enhance her cross-cultural communication skills, and form meaningful connections that will build her network and compliment her career goals. Sydney has already begun to network, and recently learned that she is actually 9th cousin twice removed with Lawton Cheney!

We are excited to welcome our spring intern, Re'gan Armstrong, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is pursuing a degree in Consumer Behavior and Marketplace Studies with certificates in Entrepreneurship, Economics, Philosophy, and Political Science (UW-Madison's version of a minor).

Beyond her professional journey, she enjoys riding horses and volunteering at a local therapeutic riding center, exercising the animals outside of sessions to keep them active and engaged. On campus, she holds a position as Show/Clinic Coordinator for the Hoofers Riding Club, demonstrating her strong passion for horses and creating opportunities for students to access the equestrian world. Additionally, she stays active in a political club as a Volunteer Coordinator, organizing volunteer opportunities around campus to increase voter participation among students.

This is Re’gan’s first time out of the USA which brings a sense of excitement and curiosity as she begins this internship in Spain. In her first few weeks in Seville, she noticed a few cultural differences. One being that everyone makes sure to greet you. Whether that be passing in the halls or in the elevator, she is always greeted with a welcoming, hola!

Through this internship, Re'gan hopes to gain insights into international marketing strategies, enhance her cross-cultural communication skills, and build meaningful connections that will contribute to her professional growth and development.

Now you can harness the full power of the Ceeblue Media Fabric — WebRTC MBR, Fallback Protocols, Intelligent Multi-Bitrate quality modulation, and much more — without having to overhaul your current player.

This is made possible by Ceeblue's recently released video.js WebRTC plugin. This new plugin integrates WebRTC with existing HLS, Low-Latency HLS, and DASH support within the video.js player framework, broadening the possibilities for live video streaming.
