Psst! A branding spot has just opened up in July.

If you've been thinking about it for a while — you know, the 'I really need to sort my branding' thought that pops up every time you share your website link — this might be your sign.

Here's what working together looks like:

- We start with strategy so your brand actually reflects who you are
- A custom-designed logo and brand identity (no templates, no clip art!)
- Brand guidelines so you can use your new visual identity with confidence
- A designer who geeks out and genuinely gets excited about your business

I work with creative founders and small business owners who are ready to show up with branding they're proud of, not just something that'll do for now.

If that sounds like you, drop me a DM or hit the link in my bio to book a free discovery call. No hard sell, just a friendly chat over a (virtual) cuppa.

Nice doesn't pay your invoices.

Let's be honest about what "clean and professional" actually means: it means you built a brand for the client you were scared of losing, not the client you actually want.

You softened the edges. Swapped your actual personality for something you thought was more crowd-pleasing. You made yourself into a cookie-cutter brand that’s easy to say yes to but impossible to feel excited about.

So now you're out here doing bloody brilliant work, but sending folks a link to a site that doesn't come close to showing how amazing you are.

But the thing that makes you bookable isn't your service list. It's your quirks, the specific, slightly-too-honest way you think about your work. It’s the stuff you tried to hide because you worried it felt like too much.

That's the bit that stops the scroll. Let’s put it back.

My top 5 horror movies as a branding and web designer:

1. Make the logo bigger (it really doesn’t need to be *that* big)
2. Colour palettes with no contrast (unreadable text serves no one)
3. Using ChatGPT to give feedback (unfortunately, Chatty has no idea about the strategy we’ve been working on)
4. I made it with AI (yep, we can tell, and that’s why it doesn’t match your brand)
5. Client installed updates without doing a backup first… (so it’s probably gonna take longer to fix, soz)

What would make your list?

Your logo might not be the problem.

I speak to so many small business owners who think they need a new logo. And sometimes that's true!

But more often, the real issue is this: there's no strategy behind the brand at all.

No clarity on who they're trying to attract. (Spoiler alert: it's not "everyone"!)
No consistent visual language across their platforms.
No real sense of their personality coming through.

So even if I designed the most beautiful logo in the world, it won't do its job if the foundations aren't there.

That's why every project I do starts with brand strategy. We get crystal clear on your values, your ideal clients, and what makes you unapologetically you. THEN I design.

The result is a brand that doesn't just look lovely, it actually works.

Curious what that looks like? Drop me a DM or grab the link in my bio to book a chat.

Your logo isn't your brand. Your colours aren't your brand.

Your brand is the feeling people get when they interact with your business. And that feeling starts with your strategy.

If you've been putting off getting clear on your brand strategy because it feels overwhelming, I made something for you: My Brand Strategy Workbook takes you through the exact 4-step process I use with my design clients.

Want it? Link in bio to grab a copy.

Every branding client gets something they didn't know to ask for: an accessible colour pairings guide.

Because accessibility isn't an afterthought in my design process. It's built in from the start.

So every brand I design includes an approved colour pairings guide in the brand guidelines. That means you (and your team, your social media manager, plus anyone else creating visuals for you) always know which combinations meet contrast ratio standards. That way, there’s no guessing, and no accidentally unreadable text.

Because beautiful branding should work for everyone.

You've looked at designers before. You might even have got as far as enquiring.

But then you thought: *is now really the right time?*

Maybe once you have more clients. More revenue. More certainty.

So you wait.

Except… the thing stopping you from getting more clients might be the exact thing you keep putting off fixing.

If it’s time to stop waiting, let’s chat.

You've sent people to your website and quietly hoped they wouldn't judge it.

You know it doesn't look like you anymore. Maybe it never did.

But fixing it feels overwhelming, so you leave it.

And every time you hand over a business card or drop your link in an email, there's that little flicker of *please don't look too closely.*

But that flicker can go away.

Here’s what my client, Clare, said after her rebrand:

“I get lots of comments about the website, how they like the look of it and the content. Ultimately I’m now proud to direct people to the website to look at my work, rather than being embarrassed by it!”

If you’re ready to feel proud to show off your website, DM to arrange a chat.

I've been trying to resist jumping on this trend, but it looks too much fun - especially with Kristy from Pink Pony Creative calling for more women designers to take part.

So, here are some of my favourite logos and brand marks I've created over the years. I adore colour, so it's kinda weird seeing them in black and white, but also quite cool.
