Hybu Cig Cymru (HCC) yw'r corff sy'n gyfrifol am ddatblygu, hyrwyddo a marchnata cig coch o Gymru. Rydym yn gweithio gyda phob sector o'r diwydiant cig coch yng Nghymru - o'r ffermwyr i'r archfarchnadoedd, i ddatblygu'r diwydiant ac i ddatblygu marchnadoedd proffidiol i Gig Oen Cymru, Cig Eidion Cymru a phorc o Gymru.

HCC Chair and CEO, Cath Smith and José Peralta welcomed the opportunity to meet the new Welsh Government Cabinet Minister for Rural Resilience and Sustainability in Cardiff Bay today. The positive meeting included an update on HCC’s new strategic action plan, a discussion on the challenges within the red meat industry, and a shared enthusiasm for collaboration across the supply chain. We look forward to working with the Minister over the coming years to drive the industry forward to the future.

We are proud to have collaborated with the Welsh Government to showcase the best of Wales at the Worldchefs Congress, a premier global culinary event that brought together esteemed chefs from over 100 countries - held for the first time in Wales or the UK. Our joint efforts ensured that delegates experienced the rich flavors of Wales through samples of PGI Welsh Lamb, PGI Welsh Beef, and Pork from Wales

Yn ddiweddar, aethom ni arddangos yng Nghyngres Worldchefs a gynhaliwyd yng Nghasnewydd, gan hyrwyddo ansawdd a threftadaeth Cig Oen Cymru PGI, Cig Eidion Cymru PGI, a Phorc o Gymru i gynulleidfa fyd-eang o weithwyr coginio proffesiynol.

Trefnodd HCC ddigwyddiad preifat ym Milan yn ddiweddar, gyda’r nod o ymgysylltu gyda phrynwyr cig dylanwadol o’r Eidal.

HCC recently set up a private function in Milan with the aim of engaging with influential Italian meat buyers.

Welsh Lamb was served to a hand-picked party of Italian retailers, distributors, processors and the British Consul General to coincide with the TuttoFood Milan trade show.

We recently hosted a group of specialist German meat importers and journalists in conjunction with Group to build trade in the German market.

The group visited the Dunbia’s processing site in Llanybydder, Carmarthenshire as well as local sheep farmers Rhun Williams from Tregaron and Richard Roderick in Brecon who were able to demonstrate the traditional farming practices and showcase the natural environment where Welsh Lamb is produced. Diolch yn fawr iawn to Rhun and Richard for helping us tell the Welsh Lamb story!
