✨ Dark Autumn vs Dark Winter! ✨

These two palettes share a rich depth, but their tones and temperature are worlds apart. Let’s explore:

🍂 Dark Autumn is warm, earthy, and glowing, featuring deep olives, golden browns, dark rusts, and mahogany reds.

❄️ Dark Winter is cool, bold, and striking, with jewel-rich greens, cool, crisp browns, vivid purples, and icy reds.

Both are powerful and dramatic, but warmth and clarity levels make all the difference.

Day 12 in Luminary’s January capsule colour palette series - and it’s the last day of WINTER ☃️

BRIGHT WINTER - sometimes known as SPRINTER WINTER - sits on the edge of the season between True Winter and Bright Spring.

Bright Winters are sometimes mistaken for Springs - their features aren’t always as dark and cool as you’d expect of Wintry women.

Bright Winter women can sometimes be mistaken for Springs at first glance - particularly if they have blonde hair - but they need COOL, VIVID, CLEAR colours to shine.

Can Bright Winters wear the whole Winter palette? Absolutely YES!

Bright Winters need clarity above all else, and look their best in the iciest Winter colours, paired with super-saturated colour pops.

COOL WINTER - sometimes known as SULTRY WINTER - sits in the middle of the season between True Winter and Dark Summer.

Cool Winters are sometimes mistaken for Summers - their features aren’t always as high-contrast as you might expect from this vivid season.

Cool Winters belong to a COOL, CLEAR colour season, and need vivid, blue-based colours to look their best.

Can Cool Winters wear the whole Winter palette? Absolutely YES!

Cool Winters need coolness above all else, and look their best in the bluest and iciest Winter colours. Blues, blacks, greys and silvers are perfect for key Cool Winter purchases.

It's been a while since I showed my face on here, so I thought it would be nice to say hello again now we've hit the big 1,000 followers 🙌🏻

I'm Lorrie, seasonal colour and style personality analyst, and founder of Luminary Colour and Style ✨

I created Luminary after exploring the colour and style analysis brands already out there. The more I looked, the more I found that none of them was what I was looking for — or what women deserve.

I've developed the Luminary method and all our beautiful materials from scratch — from the unique seasonal colour palettes and beautiful drapes to the seven style archetypes and the 40 style personalities between them.

The Luminary method's designed to suit all women, celebrating our diversity and embracing the things that make us unique.

I know a lot of women have felt left out and let down by existing colour and style providers — and my aim is to change that.

Luminary is a labour of love for me — having my own colours and style done was life-changing, and I want to share that with you.

I've been busy creating loads of useful content, both for women who've already discovered their colours and style — and for those of you yet to take the plunge!

There are handy posts here on the squares, plus longer articles and more in-depth advice on the blog (link in the bio!).

I've already inspired competitors to try and create the same kind of content, which goes to show how good it is 😘
