Today with our childminding friends we took a walk to a local park to collect leaves, conkers and twigs.
The children were so excited each time they found something to put inside their bags.
They collected a great collection of natural objects ready to use for activities next week.
Whilst there we also walked to the play area and the children had lots of fun on the swings and the sunken trampoline. The children really enjoy the sensory experience of swinging through the air and bouncing.

On Thursday we went with our childminding friends to Bushy Park.
The children love getting to come here and run around and explore with their friends. There are lots of natural climbing opportunities including logs that they can also practice balancing on.
The children also enjoyed getting to see the ducks and deer whilst there as they love seeing animals.

On Wednesday we went to the Lammas park with our childminding friends.
Whilst the weather is still nice and dry we are trying to make the most of it and spend lots of time outside.
The children really enjoy this park as it has so much equipment that they can play on including swings, slides and climbing frames.
This park is also close to the river where the children could safely watch from a distance the boats and ducks go past.

On Tuesday, with our childminding friends we did an autumn painting activity. The children had so much fun with the paints and using their hand prints with stampers to make their trees. The children really enjoyed the sensory feel of the paint on their hands when painting.

Today with our childminding friends we went to Osterley park.
The children really enjoy our visits to the national trust properties as it gives them the opportunity to explore nature with their friends.
We took an autumn nature hunt sheet with us and did a scavenger hunt with the children to find the items on the sheet including pine cones, leaves and twigs. The children all got really excited each time they found an item on the sheet.
We also saw lots of animals on the walk which the children really liked seeing especially the ducks.

Yesterday with our childminding friends we had a farm themed day.
We have been doing lots of activities with the children based around the farm and teaching them about animals.
We did activities including sorting the animals by counting to 3 and building houses for them out of wooden bricks.
Then we setup a chocolate ‘mud bath’ for the animals and gave the children sponges and water to clean them. The children really enjoyed the sensory feel of the ‘chocolate mud.’
We finished the day with reading the gobbly goat book to the children. The children were all really engaged with the book and seeing the pictures throughout.

Today with our childminding friends
We went to a local playgroup which the children really enjoyed.
They played nicely and enjoyed exploring some different toys and new people to play with .
We then took part in Rhyme time singing their favourite songs and afterwards had some fruit to enjoy as their morning snack .

Today with our childminding friends we went to Virginia Water.
We went on an elephant search as part of trunks across the Thames.
The children had lots of fun running around with their friends and got so excited each time they spotted a different elephant.
Virginia Water also has lots of park areas for the children to play in and explore. This gave the children the opportunity to practice their gross motor skills including climbing.

Today it was one of the childminding children’s last day as they leave to go to nursery.
As it was their last day we spent the day playing in the garden with our childminding friends at their house.
The children had so much fun playing dress up in the garden and playing with all of the different toys especially the inflatable bouncy castle and slide.
As it was their last day their parents kindly brought a cake for the children to share which they all found really yummy and were so excited to have with their lunch.
The parents also brought party bags for each of the children which they were so excited to receive and was really nice for the child leaving to share with their friends.
It’s always sad for me when the children leave and having had this little boy every day for a long time I will really miss him. But I know that he will have the best time at nursery and that he will really enjoy his time there.
