With our childminding friends last week we set up a mini beast tuff tray for the children to explore .
They especially loved singing Incy Wincy spider and putting the spiders down the drain pipe .
The older children could even name some of the bugs 🐜 🪲🐛🪰🦟 they discovered on the tray . They also used their magnifying glasses to take a closer look and the tweezers to remove some from the dirt .
We finished the morning with a ladybird 🐞 counting activity where they counted the spots and placed the correct one on the number line .

On Wednesday we took a riverside walk in between the rain ☔️ showers .The children enjoyed spotting the boats and the ducks and swans 🦢 on the river we even saw the lock keeper raise the Union Jack 🇬🇧 Flag .
We then walked to the garden centre for lunch and a look round .

Today with our childminding friends we made the most of the sunshine ☀️ and used the amazing soft play equipment we have and set up a area outside for the children to explore.
We had lots of different apparatus for them to climb on and different balancing beams to.
The children enjoyed the different challenges and soon got the hang of the climbing frame and beams .
The little ones enjoyed the ball pit too .

World Bee 🐝 day today and the children leant all about the importance of bee's!
We started the day with some early maths and rice play with scooping and pouring and hidden bees 🐝 with numbers in them .
The children loved finding the bees 🐝 and naming the number on them .
We then did a large group collage of a bee which the children took in turns to paint and stick.
We ended the day with the lift cycle of a bee and a story about why bees are so important 🐝🐝🐝🐝.

A lovely Monday trip in the fresh air to
Clivedon to take part in the 'Where going on a Bear 🐻 hunt trail !'
The children loved following the trail and taking part in the different activities along the way !
They had great fun doing lots of activities like throwing beanbags, jumping in muddy puddles
And even a game of noughts and crosses !
To their delight they found the bear and the end !

As it's Mental Health Awareness Week this week we chose some activities today to help the children understand and manage their emotions.
We read the colour monster book and sorted out our emotions into the correct jars and each child chose a monster to show how they were feeling .
We then practiced some yoga 🧘🏼‍♀️ breathing and stretching exercises which the children all enjoyed trying to copy .
We also brought out some calming toys for them to play with and investigate.
We ended the morning with another story Rubys worry .

With David Attenborough 'a 100th Birthday 🎂 on Friday last week we did some activities around wildlife, first looking at sea animals then Safari animals .
We set up to different tuff tray tables for the kids to explore which they loved they can name most of the animals and we talked about habits and the countries you would find them in .
They did some stamp paintings to which they all
Love .
