Life is what you make it

We’re taught to go to uni, accumulate massive debt and then get a mediocre job and work your way up regardless of how awful you find it

I’ve spent 8 years of my life in a job I told myself I’d only be in for a year when I started

Life happened and time passed

I learned the value of money, how it works, how to make it

I’m in the process of changing my life so that I can show my son there is another way

A way that’s filled with hard decisions
Challenges
Tribulations

But it’s also filled with passion, security, love and vision

If I can show my son that life is what you make it then I will have fulfilled my role as his dad

Monies a tool, just as hammer is to a carpenter. Dangerous in one persons hand. Creative in another

It’s not everything in life but it lets you build out the things that are important

Holding my son for the first time gave me more joy than I’ve ever experienced

I spent the early years of my life trying to escape

Smoking w**d, staying up to stupid hours of the day

Just wasting time

Time I wish I had now

4 years ago when Felix was born it was clear as day that nothing else mattered

I needed to be there for him and give him a dad I never had

That’s why I’m doing what I’m doing. To show him that there’s other paths in life apart from the crap one that society has told us is ‘the right way’
